Mazda 2 versus Suzuki Swift
i was looking at a 1.5 mazda 2 today they really impressed me does anyone here own one? i haven't taken one out for a drive yet.
then there is the suzuki swift, japan car of the year 2007, anyone have any experiences with them? skoda? :) http://0.tqn.com/d/comprarautos/1/0/v/0/-/-/mazda2.JPG http://tuningimagehosting.com/di-1513060327293.jpg |
A better alternative to both these is the Volkswagen Up!
http://www.zercustoms.com/news/image...agen-Up-54.jpg however why do you want a really small car anyway ? |
go with swift ,
|
Mazda 2's handling is very good, other than that i would not recommend M2. I had problems with the shocks after 2-3 months.
|
the swift from inside is like a cheap plastic toy, not sure about mazda
|
GFY has sure gone downhill :1orglaugh
|
I have a swift and its nice and good on fuel but i think the Manuel one would be better

i think it could be a good alternative to hybrid, just buy the smallest car, and cheap too. i think possibly at least. the mszda 2 i saw today had plenty of features, even plug and play usb so even though the technology in the automobile sense is new to me i would presume it is plug and play on demand streaming music to appear on the mazda display.
i could drive manual myself, but my license forbids it. dunno, if i could get one cheap maybe 2010, 2011 that would rock and in black too. then maybe modify it later on with green racing strips over the black paintwork... sl1mey licence plate... i know a guy who does this for a living we bounce ideas off each other all the time. |
suzuki looks better

one of my neighbors had M2... that green one... body of the car was made out of material so thin that after a smaller scratch on the hood it started to rust in there... (Scratches were made in winter period from stone pieces used with salt for snow cleaning...)
Car chassis of M2 in general looks crappy to me... I don't know how is Swift made but sure looks more tough... If you're from Europe try to buy Japanese Swift (since it's also produced in Hungary and those are stripped of most of the things like ABS, Servo etc...) Skoda - fabia is okay... (and is bigger than both... somewhere in range of Renault Clio, Ford Fiesta, VW Polo) If you want small car with small fuel consumption - take the diesel car... Clio (DCI) or Polo (TDI) are good... Average consumption on Clio is less than 5L on 100km http://www.spritmonitor.de/en/overvi...=1&powerunit=2 And don't think that diesel is dirty... These new common rail engines have low CO2 emissions and don't produce "black smoke" out of exhaust.. compared to hybrid prius http://www.nextgreencar.com/view-car...-Diesel-Manual http://www.nextgreencar.com/view-car...osuly-Variable |

VW is good. Mazda is ok. But Suzuki? I'm pretty sure Suzuki just copies all the other cars and have never had their own design.

Heck, you lease a BMW for $300 a month.... Why not go that route? |

seriously, took the 2 out for a spin today, freaked me out there for a moment or two with acceleration very loud whirry motor i think the one i was driving had been modified in a ford/mazda workshop, but the only thing that was missing was bluetooth and on second thought, a more technical and enchanced display. i didn't like too much the car focussing so much on entertainment with the audio mp3. the space in this little number is incredible so spacious i could live in it as in it was my little green tent, i drove the 2 sport just like the one in the picture. i want to drive it again. |
damaged it in a security barrier today, won't be buying one now.
the mitsubishi mirage is back baby. |
yip fly ass ride baby.
|
yupppers i am getting one then the girl then we will live happily ever after. oh hell yah.
re-sale value on a black one, definity no-risk investment because hold value well until new shape in two years probably. come on guys lets get our shit together. |
