Gas Price is Crazy

The good old summer hike is on. What are you paying for gas? Here in NC it's $3.69.

I miss the good old days where you could put $20 in and have gas for a week.

SilentKnight 07-28-2013 01:09 PM

$1.26/litre in Niagara Falls the other day.

Its been fluctuating like crazy lately. I use GasBuddy app on my smartphone constantly to try and save a few bucks.

Itchy 07-28-2013 01:17 PM

That's per liter :(

If you think that is expensive you had better stay away from CA; $20 won't fill up one of my motorcycles much less a car.

Google Expert 07-28-2013 01:19 PM

try offering blowjobs at the station in exchange for gas

mozadek 07-28-2013 01:25 PM

$3.95, pretty cheap for this time in summer.

sandman! 07-28-2013 01:26 PM

$4.27 i paid a few days ago

arock10 07-28-2013 01:27 PM

Lol people that work on the Internet complaining about gas prices

SlammedMedia 07-28-2013 02:55 PM

$3.69 a gallon would be awesome. Try $5.48/gallon here in Canada ($1.37/liter)

Paid $3.09 in Knoxville last night.

I am in NC constantly and refuse to ever fill up in NC. It's still cheaper than Palm Beach or Long Island.

Rochard 07-28-2013 02:58 PM

$3.73 - $3.99 here ouside of Sacramento, California.

I don't know if this is good or bad; I don't fill up often and I don't usually track the price of gas when I do fill up.

seeandsee 07-28-2013 03:25 PM

what kind of "gas" are you talking about?

do you have just 1 price for all?!?

candyflip 07-28-2013 03:27 PM

I drive a Prius and don't go too far. :1orglaugh

I still do $20 a week some times.

Was $3.59 here a week or so ago, now it's about $3.81 or so.

spike69 07-28-2013 03:46 PM

Well I live in Chilliwack, B.C. but I ride an E-bike, electric, Hydro is included in my rent so I pay nothing to ride around town all day. Love it!

nvaonline 07-28-2013 11:37 PM

lol you guys are so lucky, here in Netherlands europe its about 8.8 UDS per Gallon, why do you think we only drive small cars ;)

Bourke 07-29-2013 12:01 AM

$8.80? Fucking hell. Is the transport industry subsidized or is everything just really fucking expensive??

Beerbar 07-29-2013 12:13 AM

Yup... In Belgium i pay little under $8, but it's in the cheapest station around :(
I drive a peugeot 206, my wife a toyota Yaris... Not because we don't like big cars, but for the same reason as nvaonline

k0nr4d 07-29-2013 12:48 AM

cry me a river. You guys have some of the cheapest petrol in the world... we're paying over $8/gal.

nico-t 07-29-2013 06:58 AM

€1,74 a liter = $2,30 a liter = $8,70 a gallon

Lykos 07-29-2013 07:15 AM

In Serbia (poor country) it's around $7 per gallon ...

dehash 07-29-2013 07:21 AM

1 gallon= 3.78 liter

potter 07-29-2013 07:24 AM

Gas could get $10/gallon and I wouldn't care. Why is that you ask? Because there are dozens upon dozens of choices out there for vehicles that get 30, 40, 50, or even more MPG, and I did the smart thing and got one of those.

It still baffles me how un-self-reliant people seem to be these days. YOU control your gas usage, YOU have the power to resolve the issue of high and rising gas prices yourself. Complaining about it on the Internet does nothing to fix the problem you have.

Tom_PM 07-29-2013 07:25 AM

How many are walking more to save money on gas though? Riding a bike? Anything?

Britain is the size of a postage stamp compared to the US. The daily average commute for a typical American is like what you might do if you went on vacation...

Zeiss 07-29-2013 07:57 AM

Currently I pay only for taxi. But getting a new bike, soon. :1orglaugh

Nope, I think anyone complaining about gas prices in the US needs to figure out some alternatives, cause there is no reason to complain about the price going up 30 cents or whatever.

Ride a bicycle, get rid of giant SUV, etc. In the scheme of things gas in the US is insanely cheap and a small increase in the price (something that happens nearly every summer) isn't really going to effect the average consumer. That is if the average consumer actually did something about it versus just complain

Socks 07-29-2013 08:52 AM

I put $16 in today because I had no gas and I was in a rush and I almost got to the first notch off empty! :)

But what about the pure power that my 1999 V6 family sedan puts out?! There's just no replacing that.......

I find that hard to believe.

What is the average amount of miles travelled per day for US workers ??

Socks 07-29-2013 08:56 AM

In Toronto for premium gas we're paying about $5.45 a gallon without doing currency conversions, which are about equal right now after bank fees.

I filled mine up last night, I try not to look at how much anymore

I think it was $4.49 for premium

before Obama took office it was $1.68 on average, but with 85 billion being printed up each month at the delight of the stock market, makes our buying power a lot less

Hmmm weird I remember it being about $3/ +/- gallon with Bush..

alex.missyouth 07-29-2013 10:27 AM

I live in one of the countries where gas is most expensive. Actually we're #3 behind England & Israel.

I get pissed everytime I think of this.

It's because as the election was near, the oil companies suddenly produced a lot of extra refined oil driving the price down for a few months before it went back to $3/gal.

The right wing blow hards have memories shorter than a midget dick. They then attempt spread the ignorance as if they are somehow actually right.

Why do you always turn everything into "Obama is bad".

You cherry pick your stats, and twist the facts around badly.

In 2004 the national average for gas was about $2. A year later in 2005 it had jumped up to $3.05 (national average). In 2008 we had the highest national gas price ever recorded - $4.12.

But I am guessing that you weren't complaining about Bush when the national average of gas was $4.12 were you? Of course not.

fogfever 07-29-2013 12:35 PM

In Vegas, it's still only about $3.50

Yeah when I filled up my mini bike when Nixon was president I paid about $0.45 a gallon.

Damn Bush wars in Iraq and having wars without paying for them or even getting some of the proceeds from the oil.

As usual your statements are RETARDED.

Notice how our gas prices in the USA are the lowest. What the fuck does "printing money" and currency devaluation have to do what China is willing to pay which pushes up the prices for all markets? If our currency was so devalued in the world market we would be paying more than others not less for a global commodity.

Kind of blew your whole mindless FOX news dribble didn't it?

Stop drinking and buy a clue.
