One with a big wide screen (17in+), an i7 processor and just pick up a logitech 910 or whatever the newest model of it is now.

For best streaming results you should pick an i5 or i7 intel processor...those cams you see that are amazing quality and real-time without any lag are i5 or i7 regardless of their cam or any other specs ;)

I5 -i7 processor and at least 6 GB of Ram memory, a good logitech webcam and don't forget the light, you need a good light to have a clear video quality!
Good luck ! |
Laptops aren't recommended because:
- They are usually under-powered. For compression and streaming live video, a faster machine will give you better results. - The built-in cameras suck. If you're using a laptop PC the camera included is usually weak. - The video bounces around because the girls put the laptops on their bed. The bouncing videos use up computer resources because there's more moving pixels to compress and transmit. If her computer or Interwebz aren't fast enough to keep up her image will look like crap. - The built-in Mics are bad too usually capturing the whole room and all its echos. - Ventilation. The girls put their laptops on their beds and the blankets block the vents, cooking the CPU. - Power saving mode. Most laptops have lots of power saving features which include slowing the CPU down. Slower CPU means crappy video quality. Even when plugged in some the power saving modes can still be enabled so she has to dig around in the config to disable it. If she must use a laptop, I strongly suggest a Macbook or Macbook air. Super-fast, great camera, great mic, great everything. |
