why rob them of the ads they try to make money on?

Limited functionality. Threads created by a user on your ignore list still show up on the main page. Quoted posts are shown as well.

Xenforo has this feature built in.

Super ignoring users would not result in a loss of ad revenue for the forum. The ads would still be visible, "less valuable" threads and posts from certain users would not.

As for lost sig revenue for the posters, they reap what they sow.

Please type it again in bright orange and increase the font size, so that it's more legible. :winkwink:
