He's been away pretty busy being a new dad. Not sure how much attention he gives to Smutnode now that he's got a child plus his day job.

Yea as far as I know he had a child. I guess he doesn't have as much time taking care of the website.

I am glad that the owner is alright but its clear that the problems have not been addressed. At this point, I doubt they ever will be.

I would advise anyone to stay away from Smutnode presently... I have had repetitive problems with it, the latest of which is exceedingly long page load times - in fact, the page load takes so long that some of my linkspun links have moved over to the error column. I know he has a kid and it's technically still in "Beta" (as it has been for a VERY long time), but this sort of shit kills websites and I'm bailing if it doesn't get sorted REALLY soon. Beta or having family (we all do) is not a valid excuse for abandoning a project and wasting your would-be customers money and time. Beware of Smutnode!!!

Anyone want to cough up the scraper script that Smutnode uses? If the guy is really a new dad, you would think he would want to maximize his income. Obviously, Smutnode is failing large.

I am not hiring anyone to replicate Smutnode, nor do I really give a shit if it works or not. But if someone wants to cough up a similar script I'll make us both a lot of money.

We have problems due are host we are using. The datacenter has some major issues! I'm working hard to work together with the hosting company to fix it all!

*Update*

For the past few days our host had some major issues with a Ddos attack (they resolved this now). In meantime I took advantage of that downtime to do some optimisations.

=> Added two more HTTP Servers
=> Moved DNS from my hosting to cloudflare (should hopefully speed up DNS lookup).
=> More caching in our search servers.

Normally you should see a decent speed increase!
