I lost my ICQ number and about a 1000 contacts a while ago - I have tried everything to get it back, no luck - It wasn't just biz, lots of them are from my travels when I was younger so I am pretty sad about it - I can't get them back so I am making the move to Skype...

Not a silly question - It was a free email I had in about 1999 - @myrealbox.com - No way to access them anymore:(...

I have everything else Google so I would love to - However I can't persuade all my MS addicted friends to swap...

I was thinking of Trillion but last I checked Skype was not working.....

yea, if you were able to get the lost password function working, itll email you your ICQ number

I have a new ICQ number - There are only about 10 people on it though, and they are sick of hearing from me:upsidedow...

When I had my old number there was always somebody I could chat with online somewhere in the world that was pleased to chat:(.....

icq is only used for adult mainly anymore. skype is good and agree gtalk wins a lot of times. just need one platform, not three.

I made the leap from ICQ to skype over 6 years ago now .....

After one too many ICQ all-day outages .... I told all of my contacts I was on skype if they wanted to reach me via instant message. Or if they did not want to do that, this is my email, and this is my phone number ...

I have not once looked back and wondered if I did the wrong thing .... and I had over 600 ICQ contacts - maybe 250 very active ...
