GFY Tech Geeks: Home Cameras You Can Access Remotely?
I want to setup a home camera system so I can keep an eye on my family while I'm traveling. I'm not looking for security cams or a security alert system or company but rather a series of webcams I can setup around the house and access via my laptop.
Anyone try this or know of a good setup? :) |
saw one where the webcam went straight to a phone, don't really have details tho :\

I have one now that I use to keep an eye on my dogs :1orglaugh:1orglaugh
Wireless and you can control it through a web interface and even your smart phone. Does panning and scanning, along with a basic night vision. I have one similar to this from Amazon I'm looking to upgrade to 2 more for my house and 1 outside. I bought these expensive ones before with some adapter to view over a network, but for kind of sucks compared to this one. Quality is better on the higher end ones, but do you really give a shit? |
Here is a screen shot of the web interface of mine. Pretty basic, but does give you what you would want to do

Axis make some of the best, but there are loads of cheaper once. Search for IP/Lan camera
