How Do Cam Sites Pay Models

So I am trying to figure out a few last things before I setup a cam site. Really the one last big thing I am trying to figure out is how do cam sites pay the models? I am thinking they would basically need an accounting department to pay them out. Or do some billing companies offer the ability to pay the models from in their accounts? I am thinking there are going to be a lot of accounting/tax issues if I have to collect the money and pay them out as contractors or employees.

Anyone have any information or advice on this?

Do you have a few million dollars in capital allocated for this cam site project? If the answer is "no", I wouldn't bother :2 cents:

Seen this 100 times. Waste of time and money if you don't have BIG capital AND a talented staff with connections in the industry.

I have heard that before. I don't need advice on if I should setup a site. I know the numerous reasons people say not to. I just need help with this question. I already have models and paying customers following them.

We pay models and multi-model studios with our own branded ATM debit card, that works at ATMs world wide, with the card being issued issued by a EU regulated bank.

SEPA payments in the EU and bank wires elsewhere.

Short answer: in Euro denominated revenue sharing -- twice a month

So why not ask the models how they're getting paid?

Hi Chanceit,

Maybe we could interest you in giving our system a try? LiveCamNetwork does true pay per second billing AND pay per second accounting. The billing system automatically and exactly counts how much time each chat model spends with each customer in private, semi-private and voyeur chat modes, and produces invoices & reports of the totals based on how much you choose to charge your customers, and how much you choose to pay your chat models per-minute for each of the chat sessions they provide.

You can read more about it at http://www.2Much.net, see some video clips at http://2much.net/media.php or contact us at http://www.2much.net/contact.php for more info. In addition to the licenses we sell, we now also offer a free version and 30 day demo too.

You will find that most performers prefer obsolete payout methods such as wooden nickels and pelt skins.

Come on Mark, at least try and answer the guy's actual question before or after the spam.

Something generic like "it depends where your performers are based, contact me and I will see if I can help you (and at the same time try to sell you my cam system)", should get that contact you crave.

Except accounting/tax, have you considered this: you need a reserve in payoneer, paxum, (and others) always big enough for the varying payout requests on payout dates; ex: studio you pay $10k a period on bank wire, will switch on surprise to payoneer and you need to have 10k more than forecasted in payoneer instantly - if you based payoneer reserves on previous period and added just 2k extra reserve, you're short 8k; to fund payoneer with wire it takes time before you can payout this, and studio will write in all romanian and/or russian boards that your site is late or problematic payments etc.; this may be true with affiliates too, but, normally affilaites is 10% what you pay to models.

I can give you a couple of companies who can pay models for you, use email in contact page of site in my signature.

Hi Lagcam,

Actually you're right. I was tired and it was way past my bedtime and I didn't read the email properly.

ChanceIt: Here's what we do:

We pay chat models as sub-contractors, not employees. The sales that the models do are reported to us as invoices, which we then pay like any other bill. We enter the data into Quickbooks and then generate checks, wire or other electronic payments. If your models are US based make sure you get their Social Security numbers and make sure you track their payments properly. If the models have their own US companies, get their federal tax ID numbers.

You can probably do all of this yourself if you're a new business but as your chat business grows you will want to hire someone who really knows quickbooks or similar accounting program. A bookeeper is best. When tax time comes around you will definitely want an accountant to make sure everything is done correctly. Consider talking to a real accountant sooner rather than later. The better your reports are and the quicker he or she understands your business, the smoother your operation will run.

Thank you for the advice that was not something I was considering. I will be contacting you soon.

And thank you ********** for the second response. That also helped. I am considering your cam system also. So I will be in contact with you.
