Suh-Weet winfall from our bank!
This past Friday we were notified by our bank that they'd been over-charging us $10/mnth for service fees on our primary business account dating way back to 2001.
On Aug. 31 they'll be reimbursing us close to $1,500 - along with compounded interest. Had to re-read their letter several times before I could believe my eyes. :1orglaugh So fellow Canucks...if you do your business banking with TD/CanadaTrust - I suggest you contact your bank and look in to possible service charge reimbursements on your accounts. |
what was the charge that they were dinging you for?
know what it was called? |

They should pay you $20 a month for every month they did it - for damages.
|
They are my primary, always digging in my pocket for something
|
Oddly...I couldn't find any results in Google when I searched for TD/Canada Trust business account fee reimbursements.
I doubt we're an isolated case. I'm wondering how many others got dinged for these charges and have repayments due. |
if you accept the money (cash cheque), you'd be accepting those terms

Fuck banks! Wanted to cancel an insurance which i "bought" on the phone talking to the bank bitch. So a couple of months later i called them to cancel it... "No that can't be done through the phone" Well... I also bought it through the fucking phone now didn't I? How is this different??? Need to write a letter, put it in an envelope; lick it and close it, put a stamp on it; walk to the closest postoffice and then wait till the fuckers receive it in good order and wait till they find time to proces the cancelation... This is fucking 2013!

The digital era... except if you need to cancel... then you're kicked back 30 years in time! Pure sabotage!

Well, it's taken them 12 years to determine they've been wrongfully billing me on the account. I'm still shocked they actually notified me - rather than leave it and hope I never discovered it. |
Well well well... speaking of weird charges...
I'm in Australia but TD Canada Trust has randomly charged me $US30 twice on cheques that have been drawn from their bank... one was more than 5 months after I had first deposited the cheque. My bank refused to bat for me and just kept going on about how they pass on charges. No comment about how applying a charge 5 months after settling a transaction is highly unusual, nor why the other 8+ deposits didn't have this mystery fee charged. I can has my $60 back please TDCT? :D |
