be carefull tough... the Netherlands and Belgium are pretty cool towards weed, France and Germany have rather severe punishments if you get caught!
|

When I travel abroad I usually leave my smoking habit behind. Unless I have smoker friends in said city, who can get if for me and that can advise me as to where to smoke (be it in their house or other safer areas) I don't risk it. A fun vacation can turn ugly in a hurry if you get caught with drugs (even weed) in a foreign country. And I certainly wouldn't start a thread on GFY asking strangers for info on dealers.
With that said, have a good time! And be careful! |

possibly here:
17 Boulevard de Vaugirard 75015 Paris, France |
We ran into it in the clubs. Everyone was outside around the corner smoking hash or so I was told. They kept using a lighter to heat or warm it up in their hand before using it. That was the tip off that it was hash but I have no clue on the stuff but it was everywhere.

bring your own with you :thumbsup

When i was a college student, it was an unwritten law that you only bought and smoked weed or hasj in Belgium or the Netherlands... The coffeeshops in maastricht were always filled with french, german and belgian people because the laws in their country were more severe than in the netherlands... I always went to Hoensbroek since it was a coffeeshop with mostly dutch and belgian visitors, so it was more relaxed... I seached on wikipedia, and it still says about germany "The possession is illegal, while consumption itself is legal on the basis of it being considered self-harm, which is not considered a crime. The possession of small amounts is prosecuted, but charges are virtually always dropped. The definition of this small amount varies depending on the federal state, the state of Berlin being the most liberal, allowing 15 grams for personal use in most cases, while most states do not prosecute up to 6 grams.". Seems like they are not that harsh anymore... The discussion is about france however... I did find this article, it looks like France still has a severe punishment on drug use, like it had 10 years ago...: "1. Consumption and possession In addition to penalising the debate on cannabis (presenting it in a "favorable" way is an offence), the French law prohibits the use of cannabis with more or less severe sanctions according to the act ; as example, the simple use can lead to up to one year of imprisonment which can be accompanied or substituted by a fine going up to 3.750 euros; Possession or use of drugs in a private or public place (in the street, in a bus, in your own car if it is in the street, in a bar, etc.) is totally forbidden. No distinction is made for use for therapeutic or religious purpose in continental France, but there are some special laws in overseas territories like Polynesia. This approximate application of the law, which is dependent on the interpretation of individuals (judge and police) as much as geographical localizations (larger tolerance downtown and big cities), has regularly put the problem of the revision of this law on table.
