If you had 24 hours in London...

If you had twenty-four hours in London, what would you go see or do?

xNetworx 08-29-2013 03:47 PM

The town where that dude lives with the mustang and the bronco and half the houses on his street are foreclosures and the Wendys went out of business but its is still much better than San Diego :winkwink:

L-Pink 08-29-2013 03:58 PM

I'd spend it in the airport lounge.

mineistaken 08-29-2013 03:59 PM

I would find a part of town where there are still white people left and would enjoy a classic pint in a classic British pub.

I haven't owned a Mustang in some time, never owned a Bronco, all of the houses are now properly owned, the Wendys did in fact go out of business but that's fine, and San Diego is nice but oh the traffic.... Pass.

Let's talk about London however.

Soho is just a tourist trap, Camden is a vibrant place with many markets and goth shops! Personally I would visit Windsor (20 mins from heathrow by car) and spit at the queen in her castle.....

stoka 08-30-2013 02:09 AM

i'd first check if there's a match at the Den :thumbsup

AllAboutCams 08-30-2013 02:18 AM

Pryda 08-30-2013 03:00 AM

Try these tours:
http://www.newlondon-tours.com/daily-tours.html

I would suggest the free tour of London, where you'll see this:

Hyde Park Corner
Buckingham Palace
The Changing of the Guard (most days)
Churchill’s War Cabinet Bunker
The Houses of Parliament
St. Martin-in-the-Fields
Westminster Abbey
Trafalgar Square
Nelson’s Column
Wellington Arch
St. James’s Park
10 Downing St.
Horseguards
Big Ben

If you have energy left, I also suggest to do their pub crawl.

You really can't go wrong heading into central London and walking around... Such a massive city it's hard to isolate any one area.

AshleyMobile 08-30-2013 04:14 AM

On a nice day, walk through Hyde Park, take a Barclay bike around to see some of the major sites and just enjoy a beautiful city. Primrose Hill and Notting Hill are both great areas to stroll through in the sun.

On a rainy day I would walk around Soho or Covent Garden, do some shopping and then head to brick lane and enjoy some Indian food and stop by Spitafields market. If you want to avoid massive touristy crowds I would avoid anything near a top shop or abercrombie ;)

Enjoy!

madko 08-30-2013 04:42 AM

I would see all that i can trough my camera lenses

bns666 08-30-2013 05:14 AM

yeah covent garden is also nice

slapass 08-30-2013 05:25 AM

You can walk from the palace to hyde park through Kensington and stop for a pint at a pub and a shop at Harrod's. Then Dinner at Sketch. During the week you can while away the wee hours at Longfellows or tons of fun clubs during the weekend.

Manfap 08-30-2013 05:51 AM

If you like museums? There are some great ones. Free aswell.

If you've never been to London before, these are good choices. Westminister Abbey, Parliament buildings too.

I like the Tuessad's wax museum in London. Tacky fun, I know. :winkwink:

EddyTheDog 08-30-2013 06:27 AM

If you have never been jump on a tourist bus, if you have seen all that before I would head to Camden...

If you are lucky you will find me in The Black Cap on Camden High Street propping up the bar:).....

shaynefamedollars 08-30-2013 06:49 AM

Sit in a pub, drink lots of English brown ale, and eat fish and chips

I think we should talk about your time as a marine. We have not heard enough about that......

lagcam 08-31-2013 02:04 AM

For me it would depend upon when exactly that 24 hours would actually be.

Agreed ! especially when fucking one of the nuns is free... :2 cents:

Actually, my truthful answer would be to kill yourself... I used to LOVE London... I really did...

In the early 90's I'd have given my left nut to move there... These days? You couldn't pay me enough to even visit :(

I genuinely hate the place. Its changed so much, in MANY diff ways... :Oh crap
