If you had 24 hours in London...
If you had twenty-four hours in London, what would you go see or do?
The town where that dude lives with the mustang and the bronco and half the houses on his street are foreclosures and the Wendys went out of business but its is still much better than San Diego :winkwink:
I'd spend it in the airport lounge.
I would find a part of town where there are still white people left and would enjoy a classic pint in a classic British pub.
it's never boring around soho and camden

Try these tours:
http://www.newlondon-tours.com/daily-tours.html I would suggest the free tour of London, where you'll see this: Hyde Park Corner Buckingham Palace The Changing of the Guard (most days) Churchill’s War Cabinet Bunker The Houses of Parliament St. Martin-in-the-Fields Westminster Abbey Trafalgar Square Nelson’s Column Wellington Arch St. James’s Park 10 Downing St. Horseguards Big Ben If you have energy left, I also suggest to do their pub crawl. |

You really can't go wrong heading into central London and walking around... Such a massive city it's hard to isolate any one area.
On a nice day, walk through Hyde Park, take a Barclay bike around to see some of the major sites and just enjoy a beautiful city. Primrose Hill and Notting Hill are both great areas to stroll through in the sun.
On a rainy day I would walk around Soho or Covent Garden, do some shopping and then head to brick lane and enjoy some Indian food and stop by Spitafields market. If you want to avoid massive touristy crowds I would avoid anything near a top shop or abercrombie ;) Enjoy! |
I would see all that i can trough my camera lenses
yeah covent garden is also nice
You can walk from the palace to hyde park through Kensington and stop for a pint at a pub and a shop at Harrod's. Then Dinner at Sketch. During the week you can while away the wee hours at Longfellows or tons of fun clubs during the weekend.
If you like museums? There are some great ones. Free aswell.

If you have never been jump on a tourist bus, if you have seen all that before I would head to Camden...
If you are lucky you will find me in The Black Cap on Camden High Street propping up the bar:)..... |
Sit in a pub, drink lots of English brown ale, and eat fish and chips

For me it would depend upon when exactly that 24 hours would actually be.

Actually, my truthful answer would be to kill yourself... I used to LOVE London... I really did... In the early 90's I'd have given my left nut to move there... These days? You couldn't pay me enough to even visit :( I genuinely hate the place. Its changed so much, in MANY diff ways... :Oh crap |
