I am more afraid of people using their fucking phones while driving than I am of drunk drivers.

There are more idiots with phones than there are drunks behind the wheel.

I tend to agree - but obviously both are bad.

Young girls with cells are often the worst.

Imagine if every cell had a sensor/app to know when you are driving (moving say, faster than 15 mph) and disable everything but bluetooth/hands free capabilities. I know something like this already exists but it should come standard and free with every smart phone.

I've said the same thing for a few years. But then they'd argue - what about the passenger with a cell?

They definitely have to do something about the issue, though. It's epidemic these days.

they tested something here a little while ago, that will disable your phone if the signals finds you travelling faster than 40 kph

problem is transit here is widely used, so you wouldn't be able to use your cellphone while on a train etc

It's not limited to cars. I saw a guy texting while biking on the street :upsidedow

Wow, I'm pretty sure that accident was fatal. Impressive pics.

I'm at the mall today to pick something up that I had shipped to BestBuy. TWICE in under an hour someone WALKED into me because they were paying attention to their phone and not what was right in front of them.

Next time you're at a red light, stop and look around at the other cars and see the faces pointing down into their laps playing with their phones. It's usually more doing it than aren't doing it.

Obviously it would need a sensor to be placed in your vehicles.

2 foot steel spike in the center of your steering wheel, no more bad driving ever

JockoHomo 08-30-2013 05:03 PM

The worse offenders are teenage girls driving while drunk and texting about Miley Cyrus twerking...don't ask me how I know!

lonerunner 08-30-2013 05:19 PM

Im most afraid of people who drive "Yugo" and "Zastava" in my country and young ones who think they tuned it, but those cars are like rolling a can on the street. Luckily most of them can't go faster than 100km/h so most of accidents don't happen because of high speed.

Recently happened an terrible accident near me, one guy driven BMW about 200km/h drunk with 4 people in it, and lost control over a car, and it was terrible, one of them ended headless below the car.

ZeroHero 08-30-2013 05:34 PM

yea dont , but ... you know , DO !
