Thinking Of Watching Grey's Anatomy For The First Time
 

All 9 seasons are on netflix. Hospital dramas are not my favorite type of TV series but still something I can enjoy. You think I should bite into this? Could be a big time sink.

If you are a guy, I would avoid it, it's not very good at all... check out "House" instead...

Then don't bother. There's so much great TV made today. So much to choose from. Dexter, Mad Men, True Blood, Breaking Bad, American Horror Story, The Newsroom, 30 Rock, The Office, etc.

When the show first came on TV I remember the hype and I watched the first episode and wasn't impressed. I gave it another try and watched the second episode and it too was pretty bad. I gave up then.

My understanding is if you like cheesy soap opera type stuff you might like it. If you are looking for a good, solid drama you probably won't.

My wife watched it a few years back. From what I saw, there was a lot of crying. Estrogen was shooting out of the TV screen.

I don't like it because patients die. TV doctors should always save everybody. There is enough sadness in the real world.

Scrubs and House are definitely better (and funnier). Even 'Nurse Jackie' is a bit edgier.

Grey's Anatomy is enjoyable if you like drama / life stories.

You think it's bad that some of the patients die...they have killed off half the staff of the hospital!

Let's see...cancer, ran over by a bus, airplane crash (2 died in that one), crazy guy shoots about 20 of them in a mass murder in the hospital.

Real cheerful show indeed!
