I dont get them, I dont need them...Im rarely ever sick and if I do get sick I usually ride it out for a week or more before even going to a doctor, which is probably the best shot at putting off flu to begin with, and prolly why I havent had the flu in years (knocking on wood)

When I get old(er) I may reconsider but now...What I'm doing works fine.

Obviously my experience is anecdotal...but usually the only times I got the flu is after I've gotten a flu shot.

So I stopped getting them.

Haven't had the flu for 9 years.

Brian Williams had a story on earlier this year that said over 60% of people that got the flu shots, got the flu...that makes sense right? i had a huge blow-out with my ex because she insisted on giving my 5 year old daughter the shot......she did not get the flu thankfully.

That's not really news. That's how it works. They inject you with a small amount of the flu so that your body builds up so that you can fight it off. The idea being, even though you may get a little sick, it could prevent you from getting super sick.

Is it worth the price? I haven't the slightest clue. I don't get them, I very rarely get "sick."

I used to get them every year and every year I got sick. I decided to stop getting them in my late 20's. I do still occasionally get the flu, but not like I used to.

That said I am pro-vaccination, but in the case of the flu it is ever changing so it is kind of like trying to catch a scared chicken.

I'm forced to get them every year because of my job. Every time I get them I get sick. It's very rare that they even get the strain right, so you are getting the shot for one strain of flu and it ends up being a totally different strain that makes the rounds. There was a local woman who had to take it for her job and it ended up paralyzing her. Now she shits in a bag. What a colossal waste of government money.

Nope, even worse imo.. developing bodies, developing brains.. We have a 1 & a 3 year old, never vaccinated once. Wife's an RN too, though for the first time ever, they're forcing mandatory vaccinations on employees so she'll have to get it.

Skip the flu shot. Just keep your blood alcohol levels elevated and you will be fine.
