My office setup, can you one-up me?

I'm not just here to simply "show off!" but would like to provoke some of you into showing off some of your setups.

I'm very happy with my current setup, I've got thermal blankets covering both doorways (and the window), so in the winter the heat from the computers and me is usually enough to work in the house without additional heat. During the summer I use a windows AC unit, Central Air if guests come by.

-A macbook air for portability and if I need to meet with someone in person.
-A 27" iMac with a Samsung SA850 SyncMaster that is the same resolution as the iMac, only $550 as opposed to the $999 of an Apple display (no need to pay that extra premium).
-Than a Windows Acer machine with 2 23" displays.
-4 whiteboards connected for brainstorming then take pictures using my iPhone and map with Microsoft Visio, $80 instead of $300-400 of just one of similar size.
-A bamboo tablet for drawing and works wonders with Microsoft OneNote.

I've got other equipment but it's unnecessary.

One could make the argument of just running everything off the iMac but after upgrading the OS a couple times and having issues with some of the software I just found it easier to run a separate machine of windows.

I like my setup, many of you have more powerful hardware, more screens etc. Share them. :pimp

I had a very strong feeling that things would began to revolve around the chair, much like my yard in the toliet paper thread. https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1122074

The chair was free and is extremely comfortable, my bottom doesn't have eyes either. I never come into actual contact with the chair. :winkwink:

Let's try to stay on task peoples!!!

Nice setup, I prefer a condensed work area with little nonsense personally.
I've got an iPad etc but that's for reading.

I think it foolish to have all these little apps like analytics on a phone/iPad and so forth. My iPad has mostly replaced whatever bookshelves I used to have. The phone for this or that but managing different calling accounts.

I love my home office. It's a great blend of a "professional home" office.

http://www.rochardsbunnyranch.com/rock/office.jpg

I am on the road right now and don't have access to all my pictures. This is my main work station. The desk is professional grade made by Hon, and I have another identical set up next to it plus the matching Hon credenza behind me. My computer is a Alienware Aurora r4 with three monitors.

I am not sure why are are talking about heating and cooling requirements, but... I never ever have to heat this room, and in the summers I have central air so I am good.

I also have a second office set up in my bedroom - just a simple desk and a Alienware M18x laptop. I call this the "battle bridge" and I work here late at night sometimes.

Cover the chair with a car seat cover and a extra ergo pad underneath. Goes right in the wash and feels great. Looks way better too.

Get desks that are designed for computers at the right height with keyboard drawers. When you are older you will regret working like that.

I've got central cooling and heating, this house is pretty small, and yes cost per watt central heating or cooling is more efficient; but if I'm hear during the day working it pays to just have a window unit with the thermal drapes. Considering most of my time in the house is spent in the room I posted images of, it's cheaper just to heat that room only. With the thermal drapes you see it acts as a good thermal barrier.
Sometimes I'll just sleep on the floor with a pillow and blanket, I just took out the window AC unit.
Same thing as I own a Honda Civic Car and Honda Metropolitan Scooter.
Sure I could be fine just using the car, but the scooter works great around a midsize town that doubles with the student body (50%+ asians). Civic gets as good as 41 mpg on the interstate and the scooter gets 100-110 mpg with my 200 pd 6'2" frame.
I get a lot of giggles with the scooter, it looks almost comical when I ride it. I love to wink at girly groups in tattoo parlors getting shitty names on their feet, wink at them and pat my seat like I want them to ride double. Then they all start looking at each other and giggling really hard, then I go home and beat off to it! :pimp

I don't have any game consoles and try to avoid playing games, good lord the hours I seen of friends playing Gears of War or GTA. I had a friend that was waiting to go to jail for 6 months and he played GTA 4 for 8-12 stretches while on unemployment, he was 5'5" and got up to 230 pds, when he got out of jail he weighed 160 pds. Video games are bad!

Honestly the chair pretty much looks like I got it 3 years ago.
It was a piece a furniture a roommate from a house I lived in left behind, he jetted back to Las Vegas and left it for me. I've been very very happy with it.
If I ever decide to go crazy on meself, you'll be happy to know I buffer my nudity with a bath towel, that's easy to clean in the wash. You can't easily do penetrative cleaning on a chair like this, yah?!

The chair everyone seems to be obsessed about is very adjustable. I work out a lot so my body is fairly robust, I'm well aware of taking care of myself.
I'm mindful of my posture but being a fat-fuck can really do parts of you in as well. :2 cents:

My office is over the small garage and is always hot. During the summer, in the afternoon, I go work in the second office in the master bedroom - very cool there, no AC needed at all.

I am not a huge gamer really. I play an older version of Call Of Duty, but I don't consider myself a gamer. I just wanted a fast computer with duel video cards, and it was easy enough to order through Dell.

Just a quick shot of my desk from a bit ago. Just needs to be cleaned up now. Glass L-shaped desk & 3 - 19" screens. Nothing too fun. I want to get some ambient LED's for behind my monitors and a picture to hang above them.

you should have bought exactly the same computer but without the $2k logo, would have saved you money to buy decent furniture.

Nice setups guys. I'd show a pic of my office but it's pretty basic. New Ikea L-shaped wooden (Pine) desk and my Macbook Pro sits in the middle. Not much else to say. Simplicity seems to play the biggest role in fostering productivity so I try hard to keep my workspace clear and clean. :)

I still work from home with a laptop on my recliner. I do have three notebooks within 8 feet of me, but only ever use one. The desktop and multiple monitors are buried in the closet. I kind of miss them, but then remind myself that I am best when I am focusing on one thing so I do not find myself all over the place with distractions.

Well shit, I don't even have that anymore.

I used to have that setup and realized the only time I went into the room was when we had guests for the first time and were showing them the house.

I'm a 100% digital person (write nothing down, print nothing out unless I have to sign and reconvert to digital) so everything I'd ever need is wherever my trusty laptop or tablet is since anything even remotely important is backed up to the cloud (with a private encryption key) and accessible from any of my devices.

I do my most serious work laying down on my bed working on my laptop, or sitting back on my couch or recliner in the living room with my netbook on my stomach. The tablet I use for reading news and writing blog posts.
