What IMPACT will Google Glass (and wearable wireless technology) have on Adult?
 

I really think that the next goldmine for the industry is in wearable wireless technology. Google Glass and its imitators. You get this weird intersection between mobile reality, the internet's data crunching and reality-bending qualities, and real world inputs. Maybe instead of beating the dead webcam/tube/dating site horse, more GFYers should start thinking of specs for the latest and greatest in entertainment apps for wearable wireless technology?

The possibilities are literally MIND BLOWING.

I don't think google glass will work at all in its current form. Sure, wearables have a future, but what problem would you be solving creating porn for this kind of device?

Don't do things just because you can.

I rarely hear complaints from porn surfers saying "I wish I could watch your porn as I walk down the street".

I don't want to do your homework for you but think of the possibilities. Think beyond watching porn. Think in terms of logical sequence of needs and probable circumstances. Imagine technology that will turn EVERYTHING into multilayered content.....

I have. I don't see what problems it would solve for porn consumers. New tech rarely succeeds unless it solves a problem.

Also, I don't think 'smart' glasses are ever going to be popular.

But you knock yourself out thinking about things that might happen if it pleases you.

Expect Google to implement several things over the next 12 - 24 months that will be very unfriendly to adult content.

Anyway i think porn is the least interesting aspect of the google glass and future competition. Advanced voice commands, and situational programming will be on the rise.
Walk into an area it knows that you like, and it will display options. Walk into a grocery store, options, what is on sale. Walk into a mall..what is on sale...etc

Glasses find the nearest thai spot, as you continue to walk to your original desitnation, you dont have to look at your phone. These are just skimming the surface, some kid somewhere is probably already making an app or software that will do something amazing.

I think the situational or aware aspect is the exciting part for me. Knowing you are in a library and showing a heads up of the layout. Or knowing you are at a ball game, and it shows you the route to your seat...Where the nearest beer stand is...etc etc

That's the least interesting part because it is the most obvious and most shallow. I was actually thinking of how wearable wireless will REVOLUTIONIZE dating content in terms of layering in INTIMACY in ways that weren't possible before.
