Playing games on a PC is so 1996.

Love this game. Best game I have ever played. PC version will come eventually, and it will run so much better then the xbox version I play.

Doubt it, PC's performance is still way better then a console. And tbh i hate playing with a controller.

In a way, he's right. Shitty graphics are in (see: minecraft, terraria). Console graphics are pretty shitty, so yeah... Fuck your awesome realistic graphics and fancy $500 video cards - I want my games to look like atari games.

With the three lead characters, this is definitely doable. More than once I've had the same thought while playing it.

PC owns console hands down. These games are really getting quite realistic. I havnt been gaming much myself at all. Last game I played was probably Crisis two years ago.

I was disappointed with GTA IV on console. Can hardly see the cell phone and definitely cannot read the text on it. Character faces have odd clay-like shadows to them and the draw distance SUCKS..

You can hook controllers up to a pc.

i still like gta 3 myself. i like the story most of all, i got 99.9% percent completed i just missed the very last hidden package and i needed to fly a dodo to reach it, i believe, and those planes are extremely difficult to fly.

I played GTA4 on Xbox with our older 52" Sony...but since I sit so far from the screen the details (like the cell screen) are near impossible to see.

Likewise, gonna wait for the PC version and sit a few feet away from my 22" monitor. :thumbsup

Good point, Mark. Re timing of this release since newest consoles aren't out yet. That's the problem with consoles... you're stuck with the hardware for a few years. PCs? Just swap out a card every year since bad ass cards come out almost annually.

has anyone tried in grand theft auto 3 to legit raise your criminal rating and police spending under the callahan bridge?

just get fuckloads of rockets, a tank, drive to the callahan bridge, make sure your wanted level is about three stars before you get there, then blow up helicopters, fbi, military trucks, tanks, run out an odd time and again from under the bridge to take out another heli.

has anyone tried that and been able to boost both criminal rating and police spending really high?

I just finished it tonight. It was a longgggggg game. A few great moments, and size of the game world is amazing.

As for playing on a PC...when you use the ps3 with a 50 inch screen and sit on the couch across the room, it doesn't look any worse than a PC version of any given game. Maybe the frame rate might be bad in a few games, but never enough to really bother me. Also, sitting at my computer for hours to play a game is not the first thing I'd like to do after sitting at a computer working for hours.

Anyway, that's just one way to look at it.

i just like the lone wolf assassin idea for grand theft auto 3 with jean claude. he kills the mafiaosto. :thumbsup there is also the change character code and all the bonuses, plus the pull out map and poster in the case which allows you to complete the game more easily.

i understand part five to be about some retired middle-aged man who has gone gangster and two other guys who he decides comes along for the ride. that's all i know and all i want to know, because that storyline is a bit lame.

I'm the same, sat at a PC all day, need to get away from it, just got a new 55" smart tv, from across the room, the graphics are pretty awesome on a PS3, great game.

It's actually pretty good. The way they all get together is great because it develops over hours of gameplay, and the camaraderie they share by the end makes the game even better. When you get bored playing as one character, you can switch to one of the others. It's always funny when switch because you get a glimpse into their life when the camera first hits them...they're always doing something strange, mundane or disturbing before you take control of them.

and there's no load screens...ever.

I can see wanting a PC version if you don't have a console...but I think if these people had consoles they wouldn't be crying about not having a PC version. If you really like games, graphics are way down on the list of qualities to look for in a game.

PC versions are always the best.

maybe some of you should read before posting, I never said you couldn't use a controller on a pc. In fact you can use an xbox 360 controller. (in a year when it comes out)
