Living in Vegas???????
I am a little bored with LA and well Vegas is awfully close.
Anyone living there and liking it? Best places to live there? |
It's fucking horrible. Dont come here.
|
Ya.
Seth is right. I moved here to Las Vegas twelve years ago, and can't wait to get the fuck out of here... I don't know what is taking so long. Probably all of this time being spent here on GFY is slowing me down, I suppose. ;-) |
Good for a holiday, fuck staying there permanent tho.
|
If you are bored in LA, then you will get bored in Vegas.
However, traffic isn't bad at all, no potholes to deal with and no state taxes. If you want to live in a nicer area, check out summerlin |

Everybody pisses in the pools here and the ladies are all whores, with dicks. You wont like it here. |
You're 3x more likely to get in an accident, robbed, broken into, etc...
Find a nicer place to live, pls! |
Not even in America:
|
Wow, no one likes it here.
I mean what if you live on the out skirts and just do weekends time to time on the strip. I am sure the gated communities are safe. |
I'm sure like anywhere else, there are pros and cons. I mean, I live in Western New York. Some people like it and some hate it. I have found for the most part being around good people makes anyplace enjoyable to live.
|
Southwest part is nice
|
non-stop pussy goes there to fuck like total whores and then they leave to go home like it never went down like that LOL. Both times we went for a week we had more pussy then we knew what to do with.
I did not stay long enough to get robbed or get AIDS but I would guess if you stay a month you will end up with both |

Stay in LA and just call it West Las Vegas. |
I love it here in Vegas.
I'm originally from central Fla., lived in Ft. Lauderdale on the beach in the 1980's, moved to Myrtle Beach, SC on the ocean in 1988, moved to Atlanta in !989, Columbia S.C. in 1990, Orlando Fla in 1991, then the upstate of S.C. from 1993 to 2008 when I moved here to Vegas. I enjoy it here better than any of the other places I've lived. I'm looking out my back window right now at beautiful blue skies and surrounded by mountains. It's just gorgeous. When I want snow I can drive 30 minutes up Mt. Charleston and it's a gorgeous mountain community with ski slopes. When I want desert, I just drive out of town towards Reno (I'm in the northwest) When I want "old school" Vegas, I go to Fremont St. When I want to spend money like a fool, I go to the "new" strip. When I want to go for a drink any time of day/24 hours a day and maybe gamble...I go over to the Santa Fe Station Casino which is less the 5 minutes from here. If I want to hang out by water...I drive an hour and a half down to Laughlin, NV and stay at one of the Casino Resorts on that strip right on the Colorado River. And if I want to go to L.A. it's a short drive and an even faster plane trip. When I want to go to the ocean, I fly down to Los Cabos in Mexico. I really enjoy living here. If I move again, it will probably be by the ocean again...preferably down in Mexico or the Caribbean. |
If Robbie had been to Mt Charleston anytime in the past three months, he'd be saying... "Mt Charleston looks like shit! It's all burned and then the rains washed half of the mountain away"
|
Moving from LA to Vegas is a total downgrade :2 cents:
|
Seth, why are you still living here man?
Sounds like you hate it. :) |

I was at EastSide Cannery last night and was talking to an older lady who works there. She told me that she had lived here in Vegas since the late 1960's. Told me this was the funnest place in the world back in the 1970's, not so much now that the mob is gone and big corporations have taken over. I kind of agree with you. It would be nice to NOT have over 2 million people living here now, and be more like it was in the 1970's. We were just born too late. :( |

Loved my two years in Vegas. Great place to live. I'd move back in a heartbeat.

It isnt a bad place to live if you have self control.
I know many people that have gone down there only to be chewed up and spit out. Many went to be professional poker players which inherently leads one on a risky path if you have issues with self control. Even the ones that made huge scores ended up shooting it off in the pits and just partying away. "New Strip Vegas" does an amazing job making money feel worth less than it is |
I totally dig living in Vegas!

Worst place I ever lived

It ends when you settle down with kids, want roots, good schools, and a general sense of safety and community.
Save for vacation and debauchery! We're settling in Saint George soon. A blessed 2 hours away. We'll visit Vegas often! |
yay, NV 2nd in nation for violent crimes!
according to new fbi survey. |

Before I moved here, I thought it was just the "strip". But no...it's a giant city that sprawls out for that 131 square miles. It's huge. And most of it is nothing but quiet neighborhoods with families raising kids. They never even see the strip except from a distance of several miles away. I moved here in 2008 and both my kids went to school here the last 5 years. Nice modern and clean schools, beautiful parks for the kids to enjoy. My neighborhood is so quiet at night you can hear a pin drop. And yet, if I want to...I can jump in my car and be in the middle of the biggest party in the world every night on the Las Vegas Blvd. Strip, or the original Strip at Fremont St., or over on the Boulder Hwy strip. And before here, I lived in Fla., Georgia, and S.C. You pretty much didn't do a lot outdoors there either during a lot of months. You'd die from the humidity and heat. Here...it gets real hot in July and August. Not bad enough to bother me though. I LOVE it hot and I love the sun (maybe from being born and raised in Fla.). As far as getting outside and doing stuff...I guess it depends on what you want to do. It's good bicycle riding weather from March to the end of May. And then again from Sept. to November. It's GREAT swimming weather from April to October. And if you like snow sports...30 minutes away and your in the snow on Mt. Charleston for several months of the year. And of course for people who like to walk...that's year round. I see plenty of my neighborhood doing nightly walks with their dogs and kids every night during the hotter months, and in the afternoons during the winter. But the main thing is...even if you have kids you still want to get out and socialize like an adult on the weekends. And there isn't any place in the world with as many restaurants, bars, and entertainment choices as Vegas nightlife offers. From the latest EDM dj's, to live rock bands, to iconic performers, right down to shit-kickin' country music. This is THE place. |
dont forget nascar and rodeo weekends! omg
