Any suggestions on good hotels / resorts in Hawaii (any island I guess)?

Rent a house. Cheaper and better than a hotel.

Have you ever been? We went once to Honolulu and will never go there again. Major traffic jams all the time and the beach is tiny and crowded.

Next time we'll try Maui.

Makena Resort in Maui is pretty good, especially if you play Golf

save your $$$ and go to to Mexico or Jamaica

I take my vacations to Cocoa Beach, depressed economy and lots of desperate strippers have given me many happy memories.
