Traffic Trades - Questions for the Experts!
 

Hello all,

I have been reading this section of the forum for weeks now trying to learn about traffic trading, the scripts available, and how the process actually works.

Id welcome responses from all of you, as I new to the adult webmaster arena.

Background: Currently operating a few cam, and tube sites, 50 to 100 UV on each of them, with page views being a little bit higher. The sites are all new and have been operating for less than 3 months. Basic SEO has been done, and traffic is ever so gradually increasing.

Questions:

1) How do these traffic trade scripts that I see everyone posting sign up links for work? Do they provide pop-unders to other websites? Do you actually lose traffic by giving it away to another site?

2) Can a lower traffic site, such as mine, trade with a higher traffic site (return based on # of hits sent?) or do you need to trade with like traffic sites?

3) Would it be worth it to add a traffic trade script to my own sites? If so, what would be the benefits - and which scripts do you recommend? (Preferably one that I could use on multiple sites, and not have to purchase a new license each new site I build)

Any information, or URLs to information regarding the process, benefits, etc - would be greatly appreciated!

- traffic trades should be done with fixed links to the other sites, or by using a toplist.
another option is to redirect a link a picture or a gallery url to the site you are trading with, this is called skimming, it can boost traffic numbers, but its not a great idea to send a surfer to a place he doesnt want to go..
i wouldnt use popunders at all..

- a smaller site can trade with a larger site, but you would have to have more than one outlink to the large site on your page/s. productivity also enters into it, if you send an active surfers to the other site and they spend time on there and click links, that will boost the importance of your trade.

Are there scripts to generate these top lists you spoke of?

I see them on many websites actually now that you mention it.

any of them would be able to generate a toplist.
i dont use one right now, so i cant recommend one.

Im in the same boat as you todd, I found this plugin that looked perfect Munkytoplist https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thre...lugin.1540450/
but it doesn't look like its available anymore. I'm trying to find a WP widget that will make a nice toplist and bonus if you can add small thumbs for each url your trade with to entice surfers to click. I'd obviously need to find one that keeps track of trade stats. I can't believe its so hard to find.

Everything is hard to find when you are a start up!

Takes money to make money - so I guess it takes traffic to make traffic??

But what would stop smaller sites from using a script that the big boys use and trading with each other to grow?
