It is Ukraine. PIRIOD.
Ukraine is not The UK.
Ukraine is not The USA. Ukraine is the name of the country. Like John, Paul and Frank. We'd accept if you say "on the territory of Ukraine" but we'd want to hear you say "In Ukraine". As simple as that. Русские фаги - соситие хуй. |
The names of places are often spelled or configured differently in other languages. For example, Wien in Germam is Vienna in English. Koln with an umlaut in German is Cologne in English. There are many more examples. Some places have "the" in the title even in English. For example, the Bronx, a borough of New York City. It's pretty well established that people called it the Ukraine in English for whatever historical reason. Not saying whether it's correct, but just one of those things.
|
Country names, as people names, do not have "the", PIRIOD.

"The Ukraine" is incorrect both grammatically and politically, says Oksana Kyzyma of the Embassy of Ukraine in London.
Those who called it "the Ukraine" in English must have known that the word meant "borderland", says Anatoly Liberman, a professor at the University of Minnesota with a specialism in etymology. So they referred to it as "the borderland". |

русские кстати нихуя не славяне, кури последние исследования генетиков http://www.sp-analytic.ru/inews/2343...-slavyane.html Не менее сенсационным оказались и данные по Украине. Оказалось, что генетически население Восточной Украины – это финно-угры: восточные украинцы практически ничем не отличаются от русских, коми, мордвы, марийцев. Это один финский народ, некогда имевший и свой общий финский язык. А вот с украинцами Западной Украины все оказалось еще неожиданнее. Это вовсе не славяне, как и не «руссофинны» России и Восточной Украины, а совершенно иной этнос: между украинцами из Львова и татарами генетическое расстояние составляет всего 10 единиц. google translate: No less sensational and the data were in Ukraine. It was found that genetically population of Eastern Ukraine - a Finno-Ugric: eastern Ukrainians virtually indistinguishable from the Russian and Komi, mordvy, Mari. This is a Finnish people, who had no time and its overall Finnish. But with all the Ukrainians in Western Ukraine was even more unexpected. This does not Slavs, nor "russofinny" Russia and Eastern Ukraine, and a completely different ethnicity: between Ukrainians and Tatars from the city genetic distance of only 10 units. |

I was born in the Soviet Union, Eastern Ukraine, been speaking native Russian with so called southern accent ( soft G ), worked for USA and UK for years, live in Poland and speak Polish now.
I do not regret the SU was ruined, I do not support a Russian imperial spirit, I do support the Independent Ukraine - a separate nation no matter what. I'd let go all those who feel they are Russians back to Russia, but the territory remains within the current borders. Piriod. |
так что делаем вывод - Украина это именно территория, название которой введено в оборот поляками (так же как и Московия, кстати), а никак не страна. И живут там те же русские, но слехка ебанутые на почве национальной самоидентификации :)
