Happy Canadian Thanksgiving

Hello to all our Canadian friends :)

If it wasn't for the gorgeous girls of Canada we would not have a place with you and on the internet. Thanks to all our partners in Canada and we wish you all the greatest success.

Happy Thanksgiving and be safe this weekend!

Cooked a giant turkey breast stuffed with cranberry & sage stuffing yesterday. Brushed on some smokey bacon grease lightly over the top of it, surrounded it with cut white russet potatoes and sprinkled it all with a few choice spices.

With steamed veggies in drawn butter and pepper, and pumpkin pie w/vanilla frozen yogurt for dessert.

I give thanks, and wish the same or similar bountiful table on the rest of my fellow Canadians.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving from us in the US with the same day off for Columbus Day.
You get the better end of the deal, because there is a feast involved with yours. ;-)

I've actually lost just over 20 lbs in the past 6 months and am looking quite slim these days. :D

I can afford to feast once in a while.

But the thing of it is, that meal I mentioned wasn't all that fattening. I use very little salt, a small brushing of bacon grease instead of cooking oil, and a small spoonful of butter for the veggies. The turkey breast is lean, no grease or fat was used in the making of the gravy, I used beef broth for that.

The pumpkin pie has some calories, but the frozen yogurt has about half or a 1/3 less than regular ice cream (yet tastes just as good)

Please don't tell me you think people eat like this every day. What do YOU eat on thanksgiving?
