Members Area & Video Section
 

Hello all sorry to bother again but I was wondering if anyone can give me an example of how most member areas look like. Also will be trying to do Videos and the video section as well like for example for the videos what is good to use for a video player? Should I try and use a video script or program that is like a youtube kinda thing? Please advise as I am open to all examples and suggestions.

The simplest members area - A folder, protected with .htpasswd file. In this folder you create a simple html page where you give the links to download you video files (video files are also placed somewhere in this protected folder). It can be done the same way like most FREETOUR pages are done but all the pics and videos become clickable and fullsize.

+ now most member areas give links to the videos in many formats (from 1920x1080 to 320x240, and for PC and Mac (avi, mpeg, etc...). So you will have to store each video in something like 10 formats.

More complicated member zones - include video player with streaming, some features to download all the pics in 1 ZIP etc...

You can get a lot of examples by checking out review sites. Some of them post members area screenshots for all of the sites they review.
