How can you grow a dating website without porn, so women will sign up?
 

So say I have a website for Asian people who want to meet and date, like an Asian Match.com

I don't want to use porn because then it'll be all guys signing up and very few women.
I was jut going to advertise using Adwords but wanted to see if there are other great ways to advertise it.

Play up on the romance and not the sex.

Force all the dudes to verify their income and credit scores

The problem of lack of women members is normally solved by dating sites with automated bots with nice babes profile pics. Alternatively (or in addition to) third world guys operating fake blonde girl accounts. Just saying.

Do you have a facebook site for it? I don't know if they will let you target a gender and ethnic group or not. But worth checking into.

Ask yourself why anyone let along women would join your site when they could join one of the other well established sites?

Dating site market is already ruled by the big dogs. Creating a new site from scratch that becomes popular would have about the same chance in starting the next facebook..

At best you might have luck setting up a very "niche" dating site and gaining success. But Asian is not niche enough. Its still too big of a market to try and take over for a small fry.

I was traveling around up in Vermont over the summer and noticed at one semi decent sized town, that someone was trying to jump start a local dating site for that town (was a college town). They had hand made signs all over at various intersections.

You could possibility do something like that and mix it with a local club scene info site or local happenings type thing. Essentially try to create a site for locals to use, but then again you would have to have the "right" kind of city/town to pull that off.

To work that into a Asian thing, create a Asian dating site for a local big city around you that you could market like I posted or something similar. If you can pull that off, then perhaps add in other cities nearby. Then get your advertising from local businesses.

Make an honest site. Capitalize on that because every other site is full of shit, fake profiles, bullshit messages to get joins, etc. The list is long so an honest site would do well.:2 cents:

With women and dating its lot about COST. POF has plenty of real women, because its free.

Women dont wanna pay to get into clubs and same principle applies to dating sites. They know they are the food for the fish per se.

Keep it real, neutral colors and FREE and upsell to the guys

1. You wount belive how many woman are signed to porn sites! Its all about the niches still.
2. More romance, more "dancer-style" man.
3. Girl groups with good moderators, topics like kitchen etc. Moderator should not only kill posts but generate new topics and work under 20 nicknames making everything fucking alive.
4. Several scandals weekly. With a huge topics of investigations etc... Just think what is ususlaly in live-shows on the TV? What are all those girls watching?

ok since I seem to be the only one really running a real dating site not just promoting shit...

women do not want to be displayed as "unwanted" and as "Seeking a partner"....so in order to attract real women, and most of them are ugly mingers, you will need to blur out the profile photos for men and women and make them visible only when the woman feels she has had enough communication with her blurred counterpart...

in other words make it not depend on physical beauty and give the site a 100% legit vibe...no fake profiles on such sites because men do not swarm like flies to the fakest profiles with the fakest pics but actually have to discern through the text and stuff...

where the women come the men will come in droves...focus on bringing the women in...focus on intelligent customers not the stupid shit "wanna fuck tonight" morons...

I say bullshit that the market is saturated...true that sites like eharmony and POF are huge but this does not mean shit if you can refrain from being a copy cat and introducing something new and interesting...its easy as shit and I am not giving you links to my sites you will have to do your own homework on that but as for women the trick is in what I wrote above...no need to thank me :thumbsup
