Suggest a movie people might not have seen that is good!
 

I've been looking for some new movies to watch, I want some suggestions on some of the more "fringe" movies out recently I might not have watched, and also some ideas on "mainstream" shit, that is pretty good but I may have skipped over.

Don't worry about age, type of movie etc. Just post something I (and others) may have skipped over please.

Life, starring Eddie Murphy & Martin Lawrence. I missed it completely when it first came out, didn't even know it was released, and caught it on tv one night. Eddie's best film, imo, and well worth watching.

If you like your films a little darker then 'Last Exit To Brooklyn' - One of the most disturbing films I have ever seen - It's a serious head fuck.....

Ah ya!!! It has a lot of payback going for it. Good Mel movie for sure. :)

Casino is an older movie I watched recently and fell in love with! American Beauty is good too, actually thought about watching it again sometime soon.

If you're in the mood for a comedy, I suggest BASEketball from the guys from South Park and director of Airplane. Totally hilarious.

Its hilarious if you are 12. Seriously how someone semi intelligent could recommend this low quality comedy. And I am not some intellectual, I like dumb comedies from time to time, but this is super low quality even by hollywood dumb comedy standards.

Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) Forest Whitaker is a hit man for the Mob.
Directed by Jim Jarmusch, His Mystery Train & Down by Law are great, little slow paced.

Glengarry Glen Ross, cutthroat salesmen selling crap Florida land
Heist, Robbing a jet at JFK
State & Main, comedy of small town bilks a movie company
Things Change, Mafia comedy
Spanish Prisoner, con movie, Steve Martin plays a great straight role
House of Games, maybe the best con movie ever

The Nine Queens, original Argentine version another con movie

Life is Beautiful, tear jerker -comedy - top 100 movies ever made

The hallway fight scene is by far the best fight scene I have ever seen in a movie.

Can't wait for Spike Lee's take on it, even though I can't fucking stand Spike Lee.

It's got subtitles which I generally find irritating, but this one is well done and worth it. The by-play between the older guy in the wheelchair and the tough younger hood is hilarious.
