More Political Comedy

Just now I had CNN on in the background while cleaning up the kitchen, and there is some Republican press conference on. A Congressman from California - I didn't catch his name - said something along the lines of "People in California are upset because they are unable to log onto the government website to get healthcare".

Are they just not paying attention? At all?

People in California don't use the federal website, but instead use a the state website. The state website, Covered California, has no issues what so ever.

Why is a Congressman from California saying that people from his state are unable to get healthcare from the government website when the California website doesn't have any issues what so ever? No one in California is complaining.

These fuckers are just not paying attention.

Some aren't paying attention, and others simply refuse to read the website because they hate Obama and anything connected with him. Really sad...

Its even worse when scum like Fox News rolls out "real people" who are grossly misinformed and are paid to lie. Sean Hannity had 3 or 4 "Mom and Pop" couples on last week talking about how Obamacare is ruining their businesses and it was proven to be a total sham. Sad!!

That's because "news" isn't news anymore. News is now reality tv and ratings driven. Same is true of both sides of the issue. What is true on tv/internet anymore? All "reporting" is actually just pandering to the target audience.

Years ago the "Scientific Commitee" of Congress held some meetings that were CSPAN and I watched them for some reason. The leader of this "commitee" was a Congressman from Alaska. He kept refer to email as that "email thingy that people use". How can you the Congressman in charge a Scientific Commitee and not know the basics about how email works. I can understand that he might not know everything about nuclear technology or even how submarines work, but he didn't seem to understand what the Internet was.

The intention of this Congressman - he was a republican btw - was to slam Obamacare with the standard line of "My constitutes can't get the website to work" but it doesn't apply to Californians. This Congressman isn't doing his job, and has no idea how Obamacare affects his constitutes.

This is exactly what it was. He was just repeating the standard line of "it doesn't work" when the truth is for his state it does work.
