Impossible not to allow it, for more than few different reasons from few points of view.

The same stringent controls/requirements/legal ramifications should apply to imported goods as they apply to US made goods. That's common sense and fair trade.

Why anyone would ingest anything from China, I am not sure. But to give it to an animal that has no say in the matter is inhumane.

I was actually considering getting into that business also. Speak to a Canadian manufacturer, and getting the rights to korea, china etc.
I spend enough time here in Asia and can leverage connections to get to the buyers.

You can bet your ass the factory owner will be paying heavily.
A few years ago a factory here made baby powder, the owner tried to save money, didnt work out the chemistry right. It caused deformations. He got the death penalty.

So don't think the chinese government doesn't care. They actually do. It is just with so many people, you will always get some jackass trying something.

People lost hundred's of thousands of dollars with the chinese drywall fiasco and there was no recourse for them.

Amen on that. Port of Los Angeles at San Pedro reportedly physically checks less than 10%. They depend on hotline tips and a few overworked dogs. No have money.

I guess if smugglers wanted to decommission the sniffers they could just send them some chinese jerky.

What's the point of US companies having to meet minimum wage, EPA regulations, FDA regulations, Consumer Protection standards, etc, etc, etc ? If the chinese don't have to?

If we surcharged chinese products to reflect the expenses and and associated compliance costs US companies face meeting our governments regulations their economy would grind to a halt.

I think one of my dogs died from them. Healthy dog just dropped dead. This was a few years ago. She ate great. Freshly made brown rice and a vegetable mix every night.

I make a point not to eat a single thing that comes from China. It's not that they don't take things seriously.. Their penalties for corporate malfeasance are about 1000 times stricter than America, it's just they're a massive transitioning and corrupt economy.

At the same time don't forget it was farmers in the US that put cows that couldn't even stand up through the slaughterhouses causing the mad cow scare... Millions and millions of dollars of damage for the sake of a couple hundred extra bucks.

That's open-air raw chicken he's getting on his hands. Then what? He touches his clothes, shopping cart handle, other items like vegetables/fruit he searches thru ??. That's got to be Salmonella heaven.

My point was about how unfair it is to US based companies faced with huge safety, wage and environmental costs competing with a country that doesn't seem to care. And a fucked up US government allowing these products produced without the same scrutiny to be sold cheaply in the US.

corporate america is in love with poisoning countries like china. the chinese and indians, etc are selling themselves out for a few bucks while killing their environment and their people. i would rather pay more for items if the same environmental and labor laws were required for all items sold in the us/canada.

usually the products are chinese , but the people importing them and profiting from the sales in the USA are Americans ...

these unscrupulous importers don't have their goods lab tested like they should .. they just care about making as much profit as possible

buying cheap cheap untested stuff in China and then selling it with a 900% or more profit margin, don't blame the chinese, blame those importers

its frozen chicken , you clean it when you get home ... I used to eat this shit all the time when I lived in China ... it is pretty good :thumbsup

Just buy chicken and rice and boil it with natural seasonings. Healthy safe and cheap for dogs. Can add some veggies too,fresh or canned. Dollar tree has all of the above.

Had a pet ferret all I fed him was raw chicken and livers. Cheaper and sooo much healthier. He was pretty plump lol.

Some of the best food I have ever had was in china.
