When do you give up on a domain?
OK so I buy a domain (or maybe 100 of them) install wordpress and hire a writer to put original posts up and set up a few relevant interlinks, wait a while and still get under 10 hits a day on most of them.
At what point do you give up? a year? 2 years? I can afford to pay renewal fees for a long time because of other income and I know patience is a thing but at what point do you decide Google just doesn't like that site and move on? |
You're doing it all wrong.

I rarely give up on a domain. If it isn't making me money in its current form I turn it into something that will.

You are doing it wrong. Here's something to get you thinking:

buy a couple of premium domains instead of 100 shitty ones.
|
You got me at relevant interlinks and wait.
That won't bring much, you need some inbound link from sites outside your own server/network/footprint. Waiting for sure won't make it better, unless you start to attract lots of visitors that come back, spend time on site, bookmark it, share it etc |
anything getting 10 hits a day is useless :2 cents::2 cents::2 cents:

Do better keyword research

10 hits per 5 or 10 minutes maybe be a start

sell them to me
|
My advice: Remove the few relevant interlinks.

instead of 100 shitty domains buy one premium domain.
its worth it. |
buy a short domain name that is easy to spell, make sense of and remember. Put content on it that is both unique and interesting. Promote it as much as you can each and every day toward people that want your product. If your product is good then people will buy and they will tell another friend and backlinks will build themselves and Google will notice and more money will be made.
|
On the domains/blogs that don't convert well for me I just redirect the mobile traffic to Plugrush whichs pays the renewal fee and gives me some extra cash to reinvest into my network.
