Obamacare website is a major fuck up, no one can sign up and CMS told the white house about it and they launched the site anyways. Obama of course denies knowing anything about it. I'm surprised that he's not blaming Bush for it.

And now he wants to reform immigration?

This is Obama throwing out a piece of meat for the Republicans to bite into. But they're too butt-hurt and stupid to realize its a life line for their dead party.

Right now the republicans are going off about the Obamacare websites. The funny thing is none of the Obamacare stuff actually goes into effect until January. So long as they have it fixed and running smoothly by then all will be forgiven.

The republicans will also have to switch their fight to immigration reform. If Obama gets his way it could make millions legal and those people will likely vote democrat.

I was reading a few weeks ago about how there is so many Mexicans moving into Texas that it could turn Texas into a blue state in the next 10 years.

I'm an immigrant, I'm waiting for my kids to get a green card. While they wait they can't travel out anything, why not make it easier to get a green card? USA is build by immigrants from all over the work

Republicans have successfully redistricted themselves into office for a long long time. Many Latinos are not as blue as you think. Caesar Chavez was not that blue. He was against illegal immigration, for example. That's why he is not the poster child for activists.

The Obamacare website is just the tip of things, the actual costs are going to piss people off when it hits them. Deductibles and copays are really high to keep the insurance itself low. This is going to cost working people a lot of money and benefit only people that are poor.

My wife is a confirmed Democrat, and when I saw Obama say this on TV I commented and she's like "What did you just say". Sorry, I am not a full time Obama fan.

We already have a route for people to become US citizens, and breaking the law and coming here illegally is not one of them. If you try to give these law breakers citizenship, two things happen:
1) You get citizens that have already broken a lot of laws in the US and will continue to do so
2) You encourage others to come here illegally.

I told you a long time ago...that in my opinion...the golden days are over...all of those people that are unemployed will for the most part remain unemployed. The jobs that are gone will never return. The economy is and has been showing growth ever since Obama has been President...low growth...but the corporations are worth more than ever in history...the number of people becoming millionaires are growing in numbers...the stock market is doing very well and is getting higher and higher.

The number of poor people are growing and will continue to grow...because of population growth and new technologies replacing workers...the middle class is shrinking...more of them are moving into the upper middle class...some are moving into the lower middle class or even lower.

BTW...to be poor in America is to be rich in more that 50% of the countries on this earth.

Times have changed and will not regress...end of story.

BTW...the constitution gave/gives very little domestic power to the office of the Presidency. He is basically just a figure head when it comes to domestic issues. His primary power domestically is he has the bully pulpit. It is the Congress that has the domestic power and controls the purse strings. At least one poll only gave the Congress a 5% approval rating...but guess what come the elections almost every one holding office will be reelected.

My wife and I went to Subway for lunch today and there was a new woman working behind the counter. It was very sad. She must have been 35-40 years old, and making a sandwich was kicking her ass. It's a fucking Subway sandwich, it's not fucking rocket science. First thing you need to make the sandwich is the bread. She grabs the meet and then looks around like she's missing something and can't seem to figure it out.

Some people just aren't unemployable, and others will never rise above minimum wage.

It may have also been her first day on the job and she was nervous. I know in my life the first day I started some jobs, even if I knew what I was doing, I was nervous and wasn't fantastic at it.

I wouldn't call her unemployable until she has had a little time on the job to practice it.

She was married to a guy for the past 20 years that provided her with an envious life style. She lived in a mansion. She had a full time maid...drove a new Lincoln SUV that was traded in every two years for another new one. She had $100,000 line of credit at a club in Reno. She was living the life. Three years ago her husband had his first and last heart attack. She soon learned that he was in debt up to his neck...she sadly watched as debt collectors slowly but surely took all of her possessions and life style away from her untill it was all gone. She had never worked a day in her life...had zero skills...only had a high school diploma...so after an entire year of searching for a job...living in her rundown 1990 Ford Van...she found a job making sandwiches. She was and is so happy to have a job but was and is so nervous to do well she can hardly function. And that is the rest of the story...goood day!

A friend of mine's wife is just that way. She was 22 when they were married and she was pregnant when they got married. The only job she ever had was part time as a waitress. She hasn't worked for the last 15 or 16 years. If they got divorced she would be screwed.
