None of them is 100% accurate, which is why i find it annoying how they charge 100$ monthly for it despise that fact.
So beside ahrefs which was suggested by travesty you could also try:
open seo explorer
semrush
inspider
majesticseo
and free one:
seokicks.de

if you have not tried it already "seo spyglass" has a free version

Of course they aren't accurate. Do you honestly believe these tools crawl, recrawl and crawl again trillions of pages online and analyze the linking relationships...then keep continually crawling them to see what changed? They all pull their data from the same places... and those places aren't giving accurate data to begin with. No "tool" is going to give you anything more than a very tiny % of backlinks if you have a lot.

If you have the money, go with Ahrefs, the cheapest plan is $800+ per year, but it is the best backlink checker out there.

If you want good value for your money, go with Quick Spy (backlink checker that I have developed) + buy API units from Ahrefs; trust me on this one, I have been dealing with backlinks and anything backlinks related for several years now.

The Ahrefs bot actually crawls and re-crawls gazillion of sites, this is how they got on top. They don't use anybody else?s DB, they build their own. The only thing that is seriously irritating about Ahrefs is that often their accuracy (number of reported links vs. number of actually live links) is way off and I am not entirely convinced that this is unintentional.

ahrefs for me as well, though i tried the trial version of raventools and it didn't look too bad

I use scrapebox for checking multi-tiered backlinks. But that may be beyond the scope of understanding for many here.
