I am actually very well educated about the Cult of Latter Day Saints, I know members and ex members (escapees)- the erroneous opinion you just posted is verbatim LDS "Church" propaganda - they claim to have abandoned polygamy yet there are many high ranking "Church" Officials right in the middle of salt lake that have stash houses with secret wives...they get them young too...we all know that - like 13-15 years old...but the marriages are usually planned when the girls are about 7.

Pigshit...those members that are known to practice polygamy are excommunicated from the Church of Latter Day Saints...with their name being removed as being a member of the Church...and it has been that way for more than a hundred years. I could post links for days chronicling the slime the LDS inflicts on it's young people. Do you think those sites would exist if it wasn't a major problem in the LDS. In my scanning...no where did I see that to abuse children...sexually or otherwise...is taught..or approved of by the LDS. The LDS in fact stress in their teachings to obey the law of the land and to render unto Caesar what is Caesars.

Ninety plus percent of members of the LDS are some of the better people that exist in the American society. They are well educated...courteous...generous...law abiding people and these things are stressed in the LDS teachings.

The Taliban came into existence shortly after the Russian invasion of Pakistan, but was more of a Pakistani-trained mujahideen fighting force. It's very possible that US provided financial support, and perhaps even trained them, but we did this with a large number of "groups" of varying ideology and dubious intentions. We weren't grooming them to become the future government of Afghanistan, nor did we ever imagine the Taliban would eventually become the government there.
