Saw him a year ago with his wife Laurie Anderson when she was in concert in Buenos Aires. He looked very frail when he came out to play a couple of songs.

Being a New Yorker, Lou Reed is GOD here. A GOD. VU, his solo work from the seventies, the album New York - brilliance personified.
VERY very VERY sad day here. I LOVE Lou Reed, one of my top 10 all-time performers. Taking a walk on the wild side, for so many of the Baby Boomer rockers, has meant early deaths due to, well, wild times. R.I.P. Lou! Sally can't dance no more. :( |

On a perfect day in the fall of 94 I had lunch with Peter Gabriel and met Lou and Laurie and talked about the Sahara. Was a day I will never forget. One of the last great American novelists has passed. Keep biting the hand, Lou. Love and Respect.
