Help with video playing on mobile devices in member's area with wordpress theme
 

I am using a wordpress back end (yes i know there are CMS's that could do this for me but i am not ready to drop $300 yet), with WP Tube 4. They have a custom fields and you have to put a video code in which references a swf player file. I looked at all the comments on the support page and so many people have had this issue and their has no fix. It uses FLV embed, i tired to switch to Hana Flv Player but it would not work in the custom video field and when i put it directly into the post it does not align right. I am trying to get my videos to play on android and apple devices but i can not find a straight answer or any help on this issue. I know i can go the HTML5 route which will cause me to customize the theme, not really that far yet in my skill range. I render my video with these settings; H.264 CBR 1.5 MBPS. It works fine on apple and android devices on my tour which is all HTML.

So my question is; is their a plugin i can use to help me with this issue? Is there a better FREE tube theme out there that does use flash?

flash doesnt play on iphones and i cant get them to play on my android either.

take a look at this tutorial. you need to embed an mp4 with that flash or a webm or ogg file. ill be workin on my video site tonight if you want to chat later send me an icq

Switch to something like jwplayer. http://www.jwplayer.com/

It has a free wordpress plugin too.

JW Player 6 Plugin for Wordpress

By default this plugin uses the JW Player 6 Free Edition. If you operate a commercial site, you are required to purchase a license key for JW Player.

Is there another free JW plugin or did you mean this one?
