Pop-Ups On A Paysite - Seriously???
Yes, pop-up ads are everywhere. We see them on every tube site. Click anywhere on a page and WHAMMO! an annoying Streammate or Live Jasmin pop-up ad begins. For those of us who are Program Owners and work directly with the tubes we even see them on the login pages! (Shit, sometimes they're on every page inside the admin, the upload page, the stats page, it's fucking ridiculous. We're Content Partners, not surfers, are WE really gonna signup for a Live Jasmin trial? C'mon now tube sites...).
So ok, pop-up ads are everywhere. But to see them on a fucking paysite? I thought the idea and object was to sell Memberships, not cams or dating. Of course, a few Paysites I've visited recently at least attempted to sell their own (other) Paysites via pop-up ads but still it's amazing to me that Paysites are now resorting to this tube-like (annoying as fuck) tactic. Is this a new trend? With software like pop-up blockers and ad-blockers is this an effective money-making strategy anyway? Maybe as an Intelligence Test I'll put some pop-ups on my Paysites that will say "This Paysite is pop-up free! Click here to Join for only...." LOL Stop The Madness. |
enter consoles, exit consoles isn't that a thing?
|
Niggas gotta eat. If a muhfucka aint buyin, im sellin his mouse clicks. Hustle or die.
|
Paysites have had consoles for well over a decade. They are not very common today, but several years ago, they were the norm.

As annoying as they are if they add to the bottom line that's all that counts. |
I have never used popunders or sold traffic on any of my sites in 10+ years, I've bought quite a bit on others sites though. I prefer to rotate all my traffic through my own projects instead of selling. :2 cents:

Of course it works on tube sites but do pop-ups actually work (meaning: make more money) for a Paysite owner?? I'm guessing no. |
those have been around a while
remember clean/pop tours? |

That's all a popup is... another chance at a sale...you decide what that sale can be. |
Most popups from paysites do not offer the affiliate one fucking cent in additional revenue anymore. They steal your traffic and redirect it for their own profit.
|
I love pops and ads in the members area! Members like feeling exclusive so show them an exclusive deal and sell them. They are already spending money for the paysite they are logged into so who are you to predict that they dont want to spend more money? With that being said, keep the members area ads and pops within the same niche or your members might complain.

Pop ups/unders on a paysite... i think it's a sign of weakness!
If that's the way of maximising profits of traffic (correction... affiliate his traffic) then i consider that lost of maximising profit as the costs of serving my visitors a clean and friendly experience! Me as a visitor... i'm gone the second some shit pops up or under... |
Some of you fail to understand that to pay $40 for a sale on a $2.99 trial the popup/under is needed.
Just for the math to work out. |

LJ and their 10 popups per page

inhouse traffic to non-aff tour (for revshare sites), why wouldn't you put a non-competing popunder? Popunders have this weird reputation of being 'wrong' somehow, fuck knows why :)
