I have some cousins who always shocked my family by requesting ketchup for their spaghetti. No sauce, just ketchup.

well i was referring to them being mixed with traditional forms ie peperoni pizza or a super...

Horse radish with some roast beef slices on there with a pesto sauce instead of tomato could work..

can't work with marshmallows though, too gross.. hehe

I'm happy to say there are about a zillion pizza shops here where I live. All types and manner of 'za you can think of. Some of it good, some of it absolutely world-class awesomeness, and some (like many of the big chains) are pure and utter crap.

But even the store-bought frozen pizzas can be good. Some of the newer kinds are actually pretty good all on their own, but for the rest, if you know what you're doing you can make it into a pretty passable pie. Just put it in the oven as normal, but about ten minutes before it's done add whatever other toppings you like on top of it and then cover it with an extra layer of cheese. Then put it back in and let it finish cooking.

Doing that changes an otherwise generic tasting pizza into something worth eating.

Do you super businessmen realize that Pizza is the greatest food/business invention ever and who ever comes up with the next Pizza will be the richest person ever.
Let's look:
You can make pizza at home, but be honest. Few people do that.
You go out with friends or family for Pizza. Somebody get the leftovers for cold breakfast.
You go out for pizza on 1st or early dates.
It's fucking cheap. There's always a coupon or special night.
It comes in 10 X 1,000,000,000,000,000,000?. combinations.
You can drive down for what the English call Take Away. Or you can have someone deliver to you door-step.
Has all 4 food groups. 1-grain, the dough; 2-meat, pepperoni; 3-dairy, lots of cheese; 4- veggies, tomatoes, onion, artichokes, black olives; Then there are those damn fools wanting fruit and get the Hawaiian with pineapple.

No other food comes close.
Come up with the next great food and you'll have it all.

Dinos Pizza in Burbank,CA has the best god damn pizza I have EVER eaten..

Lots of studio peeps and actors go in there.. my house was about 2 blocks away when I was living there.. I miss it so much.. Nothing but shit pizza joints here... best thing I can do is papa murphys take and bake and add some extra shit I want on it to it.. but its still not even close..

I just got back from Italy. The best pizza is in Napoli (Naples) where it was invented. Ate a lot of pizza while I was there :thumbsup

Debating moving to Tampa next year and I'll definitely miss my Chicago pizza joints if I do go.

Pizza is awsome.

Order Pizza from local joints and avoid the big franchise Pizzas. Local tastes better and is better for the local economy NEVER buy Papa John. Worst Pizza ever made, and the owner of Papa Johns is a real prick anyway.

If you must go with a big-brand Pizza, try Boston Pizza. "Rustic Italian" is unbelievably good.

There's not a place I've ever been to with over 10,000 people without a great mom and pop pizza/italian restaurant. Italians settled everywhere in North America. I grew up in a town of 42,000, now 50,000, SilentKnight who posts here lives there, with a pretty big Italian community - there were half a dozen great pizza shops and then a bunch of chain pizza shops.

As if the defining characteristic of liking a good pizza means living somewhere that pizza was ruined by idiots, yeah you qualify. New York? What about fucking Italy where the food was created, a good pizza = NY? Go fuck yourself.

The best pizza is the authentic pizza, you can't even compare anything outside of Italy with the real thing, your dominos, papa johns, etc. etc. is a poor attempt at the real thing. They're trying to get it close, but what you're buying from most places is a slab of bread with toppings on top of it, and you're a fucking mug if you can't make something better/more authentic yourself.

I am jealous to people who can distinguish good pizza from bad, especialy good from very good or very good from world class. For me, everywhere (in town, country or even in the world) I order pizza mits allways "same" level of good. Pizza is pizza, I do not imagine bad pizza.

Are you saying Italians located in Italy have magical-different hands? If you do not cut corners on the recipe and technique you can cook same good pizza anywhere.

The average Italian pizza tastes like stale bread compared to the average pizza you buy in the US
