Fuckers, somehow porn gets included as part of a cover story on drugs and murder online, we work in porn every day and have for years and there is little to no connection between porn and Silk Road, drugs, and murder, anymore than the auto industry, the legal industry or any other industry has a connection. But the story sells better when you add sex to it.

nothing sells better than fear. i was watching an old law and order from 97 and its hilarious how they portray the internet, like its some evil unstoppable thing that's going to ruin everyone's lives.

While I haven't read it yet, I bet the "porn" they're talking about is CP, once again falsely tying the legitimate players to illegal content

well, that's just fucking great. i just explained bitcoins to my close family and more at a family event and waxed rhapsodic about it all. of course i mentioned silk road, but in it's role as a business that emerged from the bitcoin experiment, not an intrinsic part of bitcoins.

I read the article yesterday, it was a pretty interesting read. Contrary to assumptions made above, the article didn't demonize mainstream porn so much as educate readers about the 'deep web' - it's origins, and it's uses including the modern day equivalent of a black market.

No, that is just the reality of what many people think about the porn industry.

the article might not, most of us can only comment based on what's available online, but the cover sure does demonize porn. not sure what mainstream porn is.

They left off assault rifles from the headline.

Yet every single mainstream business out there uses sex to sell.
