Generating dating site profile headlines (non-adult)
Hi there,
Ok, so a client of mine recently purchased 100,000 dating site profiles to seed their database until they can get a good number of legit profiles built up. The only problem is a pretty good number of the profiles have spammy or adult looking headlines (the site is a non-adult dating site for people looking for marriage). We were thinking about importing the profiles but generating realistic-looking dating site profile names, and then having the imported users update their headlines when they first log in. Anyone know of any existing tool or script that can do this? I'd like to find something that has some realistic variation in the headlines so they don't seem too obviously generated. Also, ideally it would be possible to generate male-specific and female-specific headlines so they seem more realistic. |
i think the best way would post a job on odesk or elance and request for a cheap script.
Then id suggest you create an excel doc separated by sex with like 1-500 variants of the title parts and get the script to vary these eg column 1 Im I'm Looking Looking for Im here This is column 2 jackie jenny jade julia column 3 looking for lookin want to met wltm wanna meet ultimately these are only starter profiles so not as important as fresh traffic. after they are created you can manually check and adjust the spammy looking or crap ones. Other than that its a "By hand" job im afraid and again you could find someone on those sites out east like Malaysia thats cheap with good english speaking skills. hope this helps! |
Thanks, looks like we are going to have to roll up our sleeves and do it the hard way :)
