I have a friend that's a radiologist and exercise nut. The only reason he doesn't ride to work everyday is the sweat factor. Something like this would be perfect. He could motor to work and peddle his way home.

This is fucking bad ass

I just try to stay in shape enough so simple things like riding a bike doesn't make me sweat ;)

Same situation for me. I live in Barcelona so most of the year IF I cycle to work it looks like I've swam to the office.

This is a very nice concept, but works only for single speed bicycles...

I have a gear hub [Shimano Nexus redline 8] and would Never Ever replace it with anything else.. This solution might be able to kill the joy of riding a bike and might turn the bike to a vehicle which takes you from A to B :(

About sweating: I ride every day, and still sweat. I am unable to ride my bicycle 'slowly' or in a 'comfy way'.. So I rented an office where there is a bathroom.. :pimp

What I like is that it seems this is very lightweight, related to other e-bike solutions/kits.

So much for burning calories...no thanks. But I can see it would be good for people who just want to get from A to B and don't have a car.
