Fundraiser - please help a family in need

Hello all,

A close NETbillling friend (Nicole Hoffman) has passed away as the result of a car accident.

She was only 19 years old.

Here are some words written by her sister Brittany, about Nicole.

Nicole Hoffman was taken from us too soon. She passed away Sunday, November 10th from a tragic car accident with her boyfriend, Robert.

Nicole was only 19 years old when her life ended. She was a sister, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, girlfriend, niece and a friend to many people. She graduated from Valencia high and had plans to become a nurse. She went to EMT school and graduated. Her plan was that she wanted to help people in need. Nicole was such a amazing, sweet, loving, funny, beautiful person that has touched so many lives. Not only when she was here with us, but now she's saving 8 people's lives with her organs. Now Nicole is up in heaven with the love of her life looking down upon us. We love you Nicole and you will never be forgotten.

Nicole's family is asking for help at this time as the funeral and hospital expenses are astounding. Any donation amount is appreciated and 100% of your donation will be used to pay the bills.

Please consider a donation in any amount during this holiday week all about giving thanks.
Your help is greatly appreciated and NETbilling will be making a direct donation as well to the family.

https://www.youcaring.com/nicole_hof..._in_our_hearts

Thank you, NETbilling Management

Mitch,

This is truly sad News. I didn't know Nicole but any life taken so young is a true tragedy.

I hope that this donation will help the family in their time of need.

NETbilling 11-12-2013 01:52 AM

Thanks Mike - A donation is coming your way as well for the toy run.

Paully 11-12-2013 01:59 AM

Very sad to hear this. I grew up in SCV and no doubt have friends of friends with her and Robert. Her boyfriend from all accounts died while trying to save her. Truly heart braking.

My best to their families and would be glad to help with a donation.

Yes Paully - he was trying to pull her from the car when they were hit again. He died in flight being airlifted to the hospital. They kept Nicole on Life support until Sunday when they declared her brain dead and pulled the plug.

So sad....

Thank you for the donation.

Mitch

Not to sound like a heartless jerk but I rather donate to the people in the Philippines than to one family. I think they need the money way more.

Sorry to hear :(

candyflip 11-12-2013 09:00 AM

Sorry to see such a young life cut short, but donating to a friend of a random person on a message board makes no sense to me.

NETbilling 11-12-2013 10:29 AM

Rather than making ridiculous comments, why not help out with a few dollars or don't but the negativity is really not necessary.
I donate to many causes, 99% of the people I help, I will never meet. There is nothing wrong with asking for help for someone I do know that you may not.

I tend to stay away from harsh comments like the one that was said but the other poster but I agree 100% Mitch, if you can't donate or say something nice STAY the hell out of it! Sorry to hear this.

I don't even know who she was.

What did she use to do? Did she work for you?

She was not a NETbilling employee. She was a young girl whom I am close with the family.

So she wasn't in the industry at all?

It's sad that she died, but lets not send out newsletters and create donation threads for random people you personally used to know.

Shut the fuck up jackass. Help or don't help. That's your choice. Sadly your Mom made the wrong one.

You are a fool.

Thanks to the rest of you who have helped.

He has a point, though.

You are sending emails to your business contacts (clients) asking for financial help for your personal friends. If everyone starts doing the same I wouldn't like it.

I don't feel the point is valid. I committed to helping this family in any way possible, not because I know them but because they are in dire need. We donate to many charities and promote many things throughout the year like this. This one just happens to be a family I personally know. If you don't want to help, just delete the email.

Thank you, Mitch

People all over the world are in dire need of money. It's pointless to try and pick out who "needs it more".

:2 cents:

Thank you, Mitch

you don't have to explain shit to dumb fucks.

We are talking about a premature death here and it could be anyone of us or anyone in our immediate friend or family circle.

Death is the great equalizer and we are very sorry to hear about Brittany's loss.

This is what makes us human to show compassion for those whom we may or may not be affiliated with.

Again very sorry to hear of her loss, and even though we are not in business together it does not stop me from being human and exhibiting compassion.

Much love to you all as you deal with this most unfortunate and untimely circumstance....stay as strong as you possibly can for the family will need your support!

RyuLion 11-13-2013 05:47 PM

Sad to hear, RIP.

On a side note, don't wait to get life insurance peeps! Don't let it be another burden for your family and friends!

digitalfantasies 11-13-2013 05:53 PM

sad story... my condolences

Mitch

Most of us know people who could use some help too, especially at this time of year, but don't go soliciting strangers (to them) on the internet. Sorry if you think my comment was negative, but I prefer to help those around me.

My definition of helping someone in dire need is helping a young family with a newborn, who are living in a garage. Not sending money to a friend of some guy who was just bragging about visiting the Ferrari museum. I would imagine your definition of dire is much different from most people here.

If you'd like to help out the family I'm referring to, my email is in my sig. I will send you their details.

You have got to easily be one of the biggest dipshits (and asslickers) to grace this board with your presence in the last year.

Put down the pipe my friend and keep your tongue out of his asshole. :winkwink:

If they lived where I live, they'd have a place to stay. And I don't even know them.

Paully 11-14-2013 12:03 AM

Well Candyass, turns out I have many connections to the people who died.

Not sure where the pipe/dope thing came from. But run with it. See if I give a shit.

If this thread has no bearing on your life you should have just shut the fuck up.

Write that down, roll it up and shove it up your ass. Don't forget to move beaners head out the way first. Could get sloppy. You don't want any tears and told ya so's later

He always has some dumb shit to say. No worries.

Feng-PD 11-14-2013 03:44 AM

It's always sad that a life has passed too soon. But the thing i don't understand is that a multi million dollar company as Netbilling is asking donations from total strangers towards the family. What's 15k for netbilling?

Still my condolences to the family.

TurboAngel 11-14-2013 07:23 AM

That's very sad news.

nexcom28 11-14-2013 07:35 AM

Why does every thread turn into a Beaner Vs Paully slanging match?

Sad news btw.
