Paysite Owners - Im Curious ...

Just wondering. Ofcourse i have no intent of opening a paysite, but this crossed my mind and figured id ask ...

Ok you have a surfurs that sign up, these surfurs now become GOLDEN because not only do you know they have a CC, not only do you know they have and will use the CC, but they used it on your site!

Ok now you got the monthly or trial fee out of them ..

If they continue to rebill its great, i assume you have to pay out to the referring webmaster and few other expenses.

Whats your next move?

I would predict 2 options ...

1.
Update site frequently and hope you retain.

2.
Upsell them to your own sponsor from within your site, hence eliminating the referrer payout.

Both of these are obviously attainable, but which is better?

Common sense would tell me retension is #1, but what if you can retain your members AND upsell from within? Is there a very big chance of losing your member?

Naive. There is a third more popular option.

Using 1 and 2 in conjunction with 3 will yield spectacular results.

Keep rebilling them for several months after they want to cancel and hope they dont read their statement very well.

Don't forget you also collect their email address, which means you can spam them with all your other sites as well. :Graucho

Don't forget to cross sell them. Nothing says "rebill with me" like signing someone up for a 3 day trial and billing them for three other sites at full price at the same time.
