The director is cool for Cube and Cypher but I don't liked Splice, its a missed opportunity. Cube ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0123755/ ) is very known and copied; I advise watching Cypher: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0284978/ , it's hallucinated quite without need of splatterish blods or monsters, and starring Lucy Liu, is an reason enough for me to watch any movie :)
