I live in a small town and the entire surrounding area
...is a low wage area. Probably the job that paid the most was a local small sawmill and the starting pay was $12.00 per hour and it went to $15.00 per hour after 90 days...I think it was. The top pay...I think...was about $22.00 per hour. The saw mill had been in business forty plus years...but within less than a years time...after the Bush recession/housing market began failing ...its business began to fail and it ultimately closed...forever...as its equipment and buildings have been sold off and removed from the property.
Thus most of the people around here seem to be thrilled about ACA. Many of them apparently qualify for Medicaid...and many others will have Insurance for the first time in their lives. In general how do the people in your area fell about the ACA. |

I live in a highly populated area surrounded by late 20's and 30 somethings who are highly overpaying for homes in the new "it" area. I believe that once the Obama high is over and reality sets in that the housing market has once again been over-inflated and the economy really hasn't gotten any better (All of which will begin to happen towards the end of Obama's Presidency) I will be well ready to snatch up homes for pennies on the dollar because not only will they not be able to afford their health premiums that look like mortgage payments they won't be able to afford those mortgages either.

I live near a town that has mostly medical device companies as the huge majority of employers.
I'll give you 3 guesses what the people around here think. |
