In local pharmacy you pay for the brand and name and it is harder to find generic medications. Online you can get generic medication easily which are exactly same thing but so much cheaper. I have been buying online since years and I am always surprised people throw their money on overpriced brands.
Go to your local pharmacy and see for yourself the price of Bayer aspirin and see how much cheaper is the generic one also in the same pharmacy they will be named differently but the active ingredient is all the same - salicylic acid, and it is even cheaper online.

Why not? Generics are regulated the same way as brand drugs.
You buy exactly the same stuff and sometimes they are even more quality than the original brand ones.
Viagra patent has already expired a while ago and generic drugs companies are allowed to produce it and sell it as the original company.
The cost is also so much lower because the original producer had to put substantial money on the research and development so they inflate the price to get their money back.
