2 months to install and config NATS

I went for NATS

2 months of installation and configuration

a new issue almost everyday,

some parts missed by nats team,

I did a double check of everything, and everytime a new issue comes out.
-wrong import members
-no stats for ccbill
-dns problems

and any issue you can imagine

I didn't finish it yet

arock10 12-20-2013 04:10 PM

Sucks, just make a new ticket every hour until it's done. I was a daily complainer but it's been humming along no problems for a while now

If only they'd get some pixel tracking for improve tracking versus having to click a damn link first

did you have to pay each month while they were busy scrwing it up for you?

hellboy78 12-23-2013 06:55 PM

of course I have to pay......

thickcash_amo 12-23-2013 09:37 PM

you started from the ground up or did where you a ccbill program then switched to nats?

wizzart 12-23-2013 09:42 PM

Hmmm, that is very bad news, I was think they are best company in adult scripts, probably they are still best but this is big minus.

SlammedMedia 12-23-2013 10:14 PM

An old server I had crashed this year, and I lost my NATS install...I asked them if they could reinstall it -- $350.

That's how you keep customers.

PornDiscounts-V 12-23-2013 11:02 PM

You think that sucks... Try signing up for Obamacare. Holy fucking shit!

And don't even tell me about Paxum documents. At least their system doesn't time out 20 times while you try to send them.

what info did you base that on? just about everyone i know using their scripts think they are horrible. i have active projects open working on NATS. its 10+ years old and a mess from top to bottom.

no offense, TMM lol

actually i optimized the shit out of it by doing a lot of custom scripting. their templates are Smarty based (which is horrible), but luckily their templates do allow jQuery. some modernization can be done now that wasn't possible a few years ago.

I started with a normal ccbill program.

then I received an offer from sliing
I didn't accept it because he promises many features,
and he made a delay of months.
I asked the newsletter scheduling to ex-members (but that is not available, and he is really important)

so I moved to NATS, also because I'm preparing other 3 sites....
and I want to build a network of sites
and I want a professional look for my affiliates
and I hope to be free to use another biller
ccbill sometime.....is not good

I think NATS is the best
but 2 months for a configuration is crazy....

hellboy78 12-24-2013 02:28 AM

yes: Smarty

they didn't told me of that shit

I have no idea how to design my join page
my handmade join page into WP was making good sales

now the nats join page is pretty ugly,
because I don't know how to design it
so
zero sales

PornDude 12-24-2013 03:13 AM

It's that simple. Go with Sliiing.

hellboy78 12-24-2013 03:21 AM

sliiing doesn't have all features of NATS

and with NATS I can manage a network of sites with a simple mysql query

actually the way to do that:

1. create a new join page template
2. copy/paste your join page html into the new template
3. copy/replace the fields and other 'nats' include stuff from their default template into your new template (name/value of each field)
4. test

you can look up the join template variables and also view some tutorials on Smarty to improve your templates..

..also, if your nats setup is live and not working, i would revert back to your ccbill join page until you get nats up and tested. why keep a setup live that can't process sales?

Sliiing has everything an affiliate needs. Any good affiliate only needs a link code anyway.

We have many nats installs, regarding their support someone always responds in a timely fashion to tickets. Their techs are on IM when they are working, although when they are busy on another ticket they understandably get back to me once they are free. For any emergencies they provide a phone number to reach them directly.

You should contact Vlad, I am confident he will adjust your invoice for the set up time should you have legitimate issues.

It's always a two way street, but I'm not going to start pasting the contents of various tickets here on a board. I will simply say we've gone above and beyond in helping Hellboy with many issues and have always replied in a timely fashion.

It does not take 2 months to setup NATS, and especially so if you're not having us assist you with YOUR custom scripts outside of NATS (at no charge) and have a host who replies quickly or, just imagine, on weekends.

If he feels better venting in public, then I hope he feels better now.

hellboy78 12-24-2013 09:55 AM

please read my posts...
I just said that is takes 2 months.
and if I'm with NATS I strongly believe that is the best affiliate software.

a lot of mistakes during import and config
but it's always better than all other softwares

also a very complicate script to handle for my complicate website,
and of course other affiliate software are not able to even think to it.

and of course I feel better to write here about it,
this is a community, and I like to says my experience.

and I didn't offend NATS

Thank you. I know you're well intentioned and frustrated. Your experience is far from the norm and the things you are doing with your install are far outside of the norm. We've spent many hours assisting you with things outside of NATS and the scope of our support to help you get your program going how you want it.

Have a merry Christmas.

I just gave up. love nats and they are quick to respond but it would be nice if there was a simplier way to setup with just normal defaults. It shouldn't be so hard.

SlammedMedia 12-24-2013 01:41 PM

Would love to have my copy setup again without paying the $350 ... that would be a Merry Xmas.
