Hacked Target credit card numbers now on black market
Full story http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.1554858
After a massive data breach at Target, the black market is flooded with credit card numbers from 40 million accounts. Attorneys general in four states call for investigations. "Holiday news for Target shoppers got even gloomier with reports that credit card information stolen from 40 million accounts has now infiltrated the global black market. The credit and debit card numbers were selling in batches of 1 million cards, for as little as $20 to a high of $100 per card, according to KrebsOnSecurity, a website run by cyber-security reporter Brian Krebs. Target, America's No. 2 general merchandise company, was forced to admit Thursday that hackers had breached the retail giant's computer system and stolen the credit and debit card numbers of 40 million shoppers who had purchased items from Black Friday to Dec. 15. Chief Executive Gregg Steinhafel issued a statement apologizing for the fiasco and said customers will receive a 10% discount on all purchases made this weekend. But the offer did not apply to web shoppers." Story continued http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.1554858 |

I heard there are places in tempe where you can get bundled card numbers and identities for $29.95 per dozen just because some webmasters can not generate sales does not mean they are no good at providing good valid decent freshly steamed card numbers |

Target
The way Target gives away credit why would they care?
We were in Target buying a few items and when I used my Visa, they offered us a Target card. I said no, but my GF said yes. Couple of days later, she gets a Target Visa in the mail. The credit limit was about 10X her annual income. Could have bought a house, a car and a winery on that limit. Silly me, I canceled the card. I could have bought Europe and blamed it on the scammers. |
they only have to cancel those card numbers and thats it....

Lucky You
Guess you never had a card hacked. Nothing like going shopping and your card is flagged. All because some hacker hit your card. Fucking embarrassing. Then you have to convince the CC company you weren't on a shopping spree in Miami when you were in Vegas.

.. also, if you "use " 4000 on a 5000 card, it looks bad for your credit score . Use the same 4000 , but split on 2 ( or 3 ) cards: fico credit score likes that. |
Flagged Card
We made a $10 to some company in Hong Kong. CC didn't contact us. Went to the local liquor store and the card was declined. Called the CC and they said the card was on hold until we verified the charge. Wasn't any big deal, but wish they would have contacted us. Don't know what was worse, the embarrassment of being declined by a merchant, you do business several times a week or the "HUH?" knowing that card should have close to 10K worth of credit. Just used a different card, but still the feeling.
