who is hostgator?

I fucking hate them. this kind of shit should not happen. I accept a downtime once a year for 2-3 minutes, but when it happen few times and for several hours each time... those fucks are digging their own grave.
|
By the way...seems like they're back online
//edit OR NOT... fucking fucks |
Used HostGator many years ago when they were supposedly good on a reseller account. They were quick on Support but shit was always down. Would go down then I'd email them and they would say we kicked the abusing user off the server. Got old emailing them all the time cause they overloaded the servers or let any jackass abuse the shit outta them. :2 cents:
Personally Liquid Web is the best I've ever used... 100% Uptime SLA, which I see month after month shit's never down 24/7 Phone/Email Support Owned Data Centers, they don't have to call the data center for help as they own the fuckers, just walk over and fix shit quick If I was ever looking to leave Liquid Web which I'm not as been flawless for years I'd look at ServInt etc... but never HostGator |
I use Cyberwurx because they don't have problems like these. I used to deal with hosts that told me Wordpress was my problem and that it was a resource hog. Then I found out it was how their shitty servers were set up.
Before Cyberwurx my network of blogs with about 25K hits a day (at the time) ran my 4 core server to 7.xx load which means almost half of the requests were being rejected by my overloaded server. I bounced from host to host looking for relief, but couldn't find it. Then I was told by another WP junkie about Cyberwurx and their own blend of Linux. It brought my server load to 0.14! Which means I was using about 15% of one core equivalent. Guess what happens when you have a kickass server? You get more surfers! |
Someone needs a new 4.95 shared hosting plan....
|
BlueHost Went down also.....Its just now coming back online

back up :)

Seems they're up for me.
They almost got me to jump ship this summer when they had their bad week. Still though, I've got few complaints. I've had an account with them for years and the only time I've had an issue was over the summer... HG's pretty spot on with their service, I have to say that 99.9% up time is what they deliver. As well, there are tons of other companies out there who suck donkey balls. Host Gator is pretty alright when it comes down to it. |

Dreamhost FTW!
or not. |
Hostgator is owned by EIG now...which means if you host with Hostgator you can expect to have more downtimes and horrible support more and more in the future.
|
|
Why are people surprised when hostgator goes down? It's a mainly shitty hosting company. It only gets hyped because they pay $100/referral to get people to signup for them. Used to host with them back in the day,but got rid of them.
|
Move to a better host. Don't waste time and money with a bad hosting company.
|
Don't worry, change!
