Shots fired during attempted shoplifting at Arrowhead Mall AZ
GLENDALE, AZ - Police are investigating after shots were fired during a shoplifting attempt at Arrowhead Mall in Glendale this afternoon.
Sgt. Jay O'Neill said officers responded around 12:15 p.m. to the shopping center near Loop 101 and Bell Road. Sears security officers reportedly tried to apprehend a man and woman for shoplifting when the woman opened fire inside the store. O'Neill said no one was struck by gunfire in the confrontation. The couple fled the area on a black motorcycle, according to O'Neill. The suspects are described as a white male with a "scruffy" beard, and a white female seen wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and a backpack. O'Neill said officers are searching the surrounding area for the suspects, and are currently checking a similar-looking motorcycle at a nearby apartment complex. There is currently no closure of the mall, but O'Neill said it is an active scene as police continue to investigate. Air15 video showed a large police presence and crime tape blocking off the area directly in front of the Sears entrance. Stay with abc15.com and ABC15 Mobile for updates. full article... |

I used to live not far from there at all - 67th and Bell Road really.
Whatever. Going to the mall is now a crap shoot. Go shopping and you might eat lead instead. More guns is the solution. |
