in the news it looks like the usa is frozen like on that film where it freezes over.

It's really cold outside, if you are outside too long in this weather, you are dumb. I don't think I have spent more than 10 minutes outdoors at one time since this cold snap happened, even then it was just to clear the snow out of my driveway.

just need to be prepared.

Couldn't start my car in the morning. Barely did it.

It's in the 40's in Denver all week, which is cold IMO. Wish it would get back up to the 50's.

Today it should reach 19 degrees which will feel great compared to yesterday.

Some interstate highways up north have been closed due to heavy snow as well (4 feet or so in one shot). They only let plows go down the on-ramps.

Pretty nasty winter so far.

the nites are cold

I am in Northern California - Nice and warm yesterday. In fact, I wore shorts. Today should be more of the same.
