I really hope so, but the Chargers have been pretty scary as of late. If the Broncs don't win, Peyton Manning will even more, be remembered as a guy that chokes in the playoffs.

in the playoffs, better defense prevails. That has been mannings achilles heel his entire career. Its atrocious his brother has more rings than he does. But it happened because Eli had defense. It obviously was not because Eli is a good QB, amply demonstrated this regular reason.

If Manning loses again, it will be the same reason as last year, no defense.

we're at the point in the playoffs where this matters also, wild card not so much. both teams have mediocre/sub-par defenses. chargers compensate by controlling time of posession, broncs deal with it by scoring touchdowns.

I think if the broncos can come out scoring a good amount of points early, that will force the chargers to quicken up their offense to match.

I'm a Manning fan and I don't like rivers but still don't like the matchup. Going to be a rough run to the super bowl for whoever makes it. Sucks because losing in the first round would erase such a great season for Peyton.

Actually believe it or not in the AFC Denver ranks 19th in defense which is above San Diego (23rd), the Colts (22nd), and the Pats (25th).

Lets not forget, San Diego is a 9-7 team and barely beat Kansas City's 2nd string team in OT the last game of the season. San Diego did play Denver better than anyone during the season but I don't think Mannings preparation will allow this to be a close game. Denver by 16.

good points. due to my gambling problem, i no longer look in depth at the matchups. NFL seems to have enough parity that the winner is the team that makes 1 or 2 crucial plays. I'm glad to be off the betting after seeing some of the outcomes last week.

:)

I am a big Broncos fan. I don't know, to think that the fact that Von Miller was that big of an influence on the Denver D does speak about the need to greatly improve on defense next year. Don't get me wrong, Von is fucking awesome, but he can't do this all himself. but imho it will all be about pressure and not letting the chargers get third downs.
