Everyone in Norway becomes a millionaire

One government CAN spend wisely: Everyone in Norway becomes a millionaire as parliament's cash stockpiles reach 1,000,000 kroner for each person

Norway funds own equivalent 1% of all stocks from every company in the world... that's how rich Norway really is today... They have problems how to spend/invest that kind of money...

Clever country, they know their oil will run out sometime, so they banked the cash instead of partying.

Alaska has a sovereign wealth fund of around 50b. Pretty impressive for just a state.

I'm just saying that being a millionaire is one country isn't being a millionaire in all countries. Well, I guess it is, but I dropped a million forints in Buddapest for a single meal for a small group of us and I still have hundreds of thousands of forints in a drawer here too that I don't know what to do with.

Seems being a millionaire in Norway means you have about $150k US if I read the article right and doing the conversion from British pounds correctly.

Salary for workers in Norway is relative high, i have no real education and i earn 324,000.NOK = 52,386.70 USD a year. The living cost here is high food cost a lot, rent, electricity, loads of taxes, cars cost a fortune, but we have free health care.

They invest most of it into bringing in Africans and camel jockeys and paying them welfare. Also paying their incarceration expenses.

Actually it would be clever to invest in projects that would generate future profits, not to "bank them". Not saying that they did not, just saying putting money "in the sock" is not that clever. Well better than partying, thats for sure.
